I've been playing pretty solidly since release day.

Started about 250 races, only completed about 45, won 16.

It's not the hardest game ever, true, but it's challenging enough.

On pro it's certainly a challenge and really great fun.

hmm, I'm finding the superspeedway races pretty easy to at least run at the front if not always win, but the short ovals are terrible for me, especially Phoenix, which I find pretty much impossible.

I had my first race there on normal level (doing the championship) and came second. I think it's pretty good fun.

I'm on my first championship on Pro, driving for Andretti/Green. I was second, third, second in my first 3 to top the championship but just minuites ago I crashed out of the lead at Nazereth to lose the top spot. My third place at Phoenix though, I'll remember that for years and years considering how much I struggle there. Now it's the Indy 500 to attempt.

I love this game.....

I got it thursday, i have to say i'm impressed.

The Masterclass thing is tough, good fun though.

I haven't found the game that easy, although qualified 12th at Indy on my first attempt, put it in the wall on lap 3 though

What do i have to do to create a team and paint my car etc.....

Some of the bonus' on the trading cards are good, history of how the track was created, report of the first race etc....

Anyone have tips on car setups, i'm totally lost there....

Have a look here . The setups are pretty good but you'll probably have to tweak them a bit, at least I did. My setup for Indy is now great and getting pole is relatively easy on normal level at least.

won the Indy 500 on Pro today.....

The tensest race I have ever taken part in, loads of yellows, a handling imbalance and a seeming inability to run quickly unless I was chasing someone, but it all came good and I celebrated with a bottle of milk in time-honoured fashion. Sad, but fun....

Very well done. What distance are you racing at? I'm only doing quarter distance races (50 laps). I've tried about 3 times to do the 500 on pro (having won it easy on normal) but I haven't made it to the first pit stop yet!

shiny side up! should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just got this yesterday and love it. My biggest complaint is the way they show you tire temps... I wish either the diagram was bigger or they gave you actual numbers for the outside, inside, and center of each tire.

OH, a question... I was doing the Master Classes, and Mr. Cheever spoke of a spotter telling you where the other cars are... but that isn't part of the game, right? Or is it some option somewhere that I don't have switched on??

The racing on this game is great. Graphics are so-so, but not bad, just not wonderful. The computer cars always take me out at Indy when I attempt to pass them on the outside coming out of T1 or T3. Quite frustrating to get your car handling great out there off-line and a nice tow and great big run through T1 only to get stuffed into the barrier by the guy you're about to fly by...

I noticed that in the Masterclass the spotter doesn't talk, although when you are in the races you can hear the spotter

When I first played it I swear I had a spotter telling me "so and so is high.....clear" or something, now I can't find this option for the life of me. No great loss mind.

Great game...

The spotter can only be heard when you are using the in car view.

shiny side up! should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Has anyone figured out a setup to run 235+ mph at Indy to get the gold in the Master Class? I tried the link someone provided above... and couldn't come close with that setup. I have an awesome race setup that allows me to drive anywhere on the track, but it will only let me run 131-132mph (still good enough to win by 25 seconds on 1/4 distance/pro difficulty). My quali setup gets me to 133-134, but it is a handful to drive...

I've hit 235 in qualifying I think; by running only 4 laps pf fuel and really keeping it flat through the whole lap, but I can't see that being possible in race trim because the car is a real handful like that...

I got the edit driver thing by finishing a race. Nothing more.

Where on earth are Franchitti, Kanaan, Scheckter etc? They're on the game website, why can't I find them in the game?
