So.. what were the behind the scenes manoeuvering that shut the Tekno GT squad, moving the McLaren they had previously run onto McElreas.

Having Zagames as the official McLaren GT sales/parts/support outlet likely wouldn't have helped..

Mr McDougall is engineering the McLarens of Mr Walls and Mr Ross out of the McElrea preparation stable.

No idea what got them there.

That said, the chassis that is with McElrea isn't owned by Tekno, but a McLaren fan/investor. One who apparently had an interest in Mr Fitzgerald's Audi R8 a couple of years ago.

A lease payment, wherever it comes from, is better than a car in a shed quietly depreciating from lack of use/currency...

It seems its quite the normal to buy these cars and hold them and race them when it suits, sort of like a collector

It isn't usual to give half your hardware to another team to prepare though

I think it is in GT3. Scott Taylor was doing it last year with Erebus

that being said, no idea whats going on with Tekno and Maclaren, just posing the enduro question, seems to be quite a lot of people saving there cars for that.

Sprint races are only for tax benefits afterall

I think you might find that Scott Taylor didnt have the capability to prepare his own cars last year Peck. Now he does and he prepares them himself. No different to how Audi Customer Sport prepares a heap of cars for different car owners.

How many cars do Tekno have left now? Fraser Ross takes one to McElrea and Quinn takes one back to Keltic.

I dont believe it is, but open to correction, would be well off the pace (14 seconds at Bathurst)

Easy. There need to be 3 cars in a Class before points are awarded.

We'll have an official entry list out early next week, though we expect some teams and drivers will make their own announcements this week.
