Racing on Britain's Roads to Return?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mot...o-Britain.html Not sure how our "Green" friends will take this proposal, not to mention the Elfin Safety folks.

Or finally kill off a few race circuits? Discuss...

Despite the media misguided view that everything in motorsport revolves around F1 this is more aimed at rallying, hillclimbs and sprints than a London GP. If successful I don't honestly see it having a significant impact on any circuit, certainly not to the extent of killing any off.

Has to be rallying related. Can you really see all the potholes being filled in for racing (unless, of course, it was F1 style budgets or maybe the return of the Birmingham GP to coincide with the opening of the first leg of HS2 ... )

Let`s apply some common sense here.
This is a consultation only.
This is not the green light for the British version of the Targa Florio or the Mille Miglia.
It is the first small step.
If nothing else it gives us the opportunity to show those in Whitehall the true depth of feeling and enthusiasm for motor sport in this country. (Not to mention volume of potential voters)
If for no other reason everyone with the slightest concern for the future of motor sport should respond.
