Where is the real John George?
Don't know how much of this was caught on the TV coverage, but who was driving the red car and what has he done with the real John George?
I don't think I've ever seen him driving so aggressively and so committed. Especially during the second and third races, he was taking no prisoners around Clearways. Not that I'm complaining, it was great to watch. I'll have a glass of whatever he's been drinking. |

Not sure Hughes would agree after being on the receiving end of the big red torpedo

Didn't see much of him on TV, but when I saw the results, and he was ahead of someone, i thought something had happened.
It's only taken him 2 and a half years to get into the racing then. |

He was really good at Knockhill last year, challenging the likes of Chilton and Jackson at times.

Oh, the real John George was there. He hit Vaulkhard on lap one of race one at Clearways, went off later in the same race but continued, and spun in front of the second half of the field at the same corner in race 2. Luckily for him none of this appears to have been caught on TV.
As the marshal in front of me said prior to race 3, 'Let's see if George can set a new record; off on the first lap of all three races'. To his credit he didn't go off in race 3, and I agree that he looked faster and more aggressive. |
