agree with you pete . if all the big boys from last year had been out you would have been down in 3/4/5 place . question !! what happens when somebody turns up with a 800bhp subaru.will there be banned as well ??

Sorry to hear the circumstances, but fair play pete, you've got a great attitude to your racing..
If you can..... get an ex touring car or something which a big v8, wide arches and totally bonkers..

Will be nice to have you out again,,

yep I was looking forward to racing against the falcon, bmw, alfa touring car and a couple of scoobies......for me racing faster cars gives me more experience and makes me faster I think...

not sure what will happen if someone blitzes the field at every race...

I run 650bhp and car weighs 1285 so 505 bhp per ton roughly.

I looked at the class b cars at croft this season and I,m only 1.5 secs quicker and I run slicks..you lads are on treaded tyres I think...so how quick would you cutty and andy be on slicks?

Cheers Pete

yes I just love to race and be at the circuit,it was only my second full season got into racing very late so the evo was my first race car.

not sure weather to go for massive grunt v8 or something light and quick in the corners..adies alfa really impressed me.

Something light, with a ferocious light alloy V8...... They take some taming, and mine's being a little sod to iron out the bugs/bit that break. Getting there, and if you pick the right car, you can come out to play with the Classic Special Saloons & Modsports too...

I am disappointed for Pete and Mark as they were both mega cars, but ultimately with a more level playing field the Thundersaloon championship will become stronger in 2014.

At Oulton Park in 2010 the top 10 x cars on the Thunder grid all qualifying within 1 second of each other, then back there in 2012 the Skyline dominated coming through to win from the the back of the field, albeit a great drive! Not healthy.

Pete - Not sure on your budget but this pistonheads listed car was a Thunder front runner in 2012 -

Plenty of footage of the car mixing it at the front end here

still abit confused as to how you can ban 2 cars because they can be tuned so easy?

havent cosworths been tuned to similar levels long before evos got to this level.

surely theres better ways of restricting power levels rather than banning people who willing to spend money on racing, next they be moaning theres no entrys!

I think asking them to reduce power would have the same result as banning them, i,e, they would walk away.

Any clues as to what car the V8 is in....?

Looking forward to seeing you guys at Brands Hatch, Classic thunder was normally good, but the pre-93s always put on a great show!

oh excellent news! That really should be something to see at the sharp end, Perhaps the Sidwell ran car that occasionally races with the QMN could also make an appearance, I don't think there are any other Aussie V8s in the UK are there?
