My First Marshalling Experience

Good Evening.

Had my first taste of marshalling today at Boyndie, for the 2nd round of the Northern Challenge karting event.

Me and dad were on a post together on the inside of the track, and after a race or 2 we were very comfortable with what we had to do, and when.

To be honest, I loved it!

Its fantastic because a) its another way to involve yourself in motorsport and b) the post we were at was awesome for watching the karts come past - so close to the track compared to the spectator areas!

Definetley want to get into Marshalling more in a few years after uni etc

Cheers,
David

Get you and your dad down to marshal at Knockhill. They are a fantastic (if slightly mad) bunch of guys and gals and you will be made really welcome.

Aye, i'm thinking of doing a few events at knockhill after I pass my test - dad didn't really enjoy the marshalling, but I sure as hell did

Its a shame knockhill is so far away, but once i pass my test (which could still be aaages away, but thats another story) etc etc then i'm hopefully gona do a few events

Welcome to the world of Orange babygrows :-). If you post here you might be able to get a lift to Knockhill.
