Welcome to ten-tenths!

If it's the 1988 RAC winner it was driven by Markku Alen/Ilkka Kivimaki, there may be an owners club you can get in contact with that could give you more details of the cars history. How much do you know about its past already?

An ex-works Lancia would be in the white martini livery as they only used red martini livery for one event (89 San remo from memory)

Could be Group N.

Could be repainted?

The chassis numbers of the competition works cars (although not the events they competed in) are in La Lancia book (Weernink).

1988 and 1989 RAC group N winner was Gregoire de Mevius with Mazda 323.

Can any one of you blokes gives me some insight into the wheels used for the 92 car? In Australia, we've been shown some rally reviews from 20 years ago recently, and my brother and I noticed the front wheels protrude oustide the tyre/car width. When he asked me why they're like that, I couldn't answer.

formerf1champ - were the images you saw from tarmac events?

I seem to recall that the lancia's (and possibly others at the time - toyota, mazda, etc) had ducts on the outside of the front wheels to assist with cooling the front brakes - or at least that's what I always assumed they were for.

I'm sure others will come along and provide a more technically correct answer....
