As it's The Masters weekend, today, Sky have "Masters breakfast (live)" 3 hours of talk and highlight coverage from yesterday (day 1), then this afternoon, for 3 hours 15 minutes they have Red Button interactive coverage from Amen corner, holes 15 & 16 and following featured groups before, starting at 7pm, 6 hours of live coverage from (today's) day 2 action and do you know what the Beeb have? 1 hours highlights program from yesterdays action. Murdoch may not give a toss about sport and only care about power, but i know which coverage, as a Golf lover, i'd rather watch.

Without them I would hardly get to see any rugby either. Now there are at least two games a weekend (eight this weekend!) and a weekly magazine programme. Although the coverage has suffered recently with the loss of Simon!

Talking of repeats...
For F1, Indycar and NASCAR highlights in lovely HD? If that isn't enough for you, and eveyone is different, then there is no need to.
I'm not sure if you mean this, but there is MotorsTV and Eurosport. MotorsTV is othe sky platform (and others) and the Frenchie quality drives me insane. They spent the first half an hour trying to get the ratio right in the ALMS coverage. Even when sorted it was only YouTube quality. |

3 hours of pre-action chit-chat would drive me off the wall whatever the sport. I like tuning 15/30 minutes before the action. If there is a point I'm confused about, I take the pleasure of researching it either via a trade magazine, specialist book or these days on the internet. An overdose of punditry bugs me about modern sport, they just wind up repeating the obvious.

OT: the Boat race is back on Beeb. Hurrah! And I've just seen a Damon Hill cap in the crowd

We have Jonathan Legard, but we need Stephen Green in his swimming trunks.

I thought it was odd that there were no sponsorship logos on it. This Graham chap, any good?

What else, it's not like he was going to be a F1 world champion like his son is it?

Does anyone know how much more the
And just a few points regarding the unacceptable unavoidable face of capitalism : i) Do Santander give all their products an individual sponsorship budget to do with as they please? I'm curious as to why the '1-2-3 Account' decided to sponsor F1, and what, if anything, the other Santander products are sponsoring (OK, I admit it, it's just a(nother) pet hate...ITV Drama sponsored by the Renault 5 Clio* etc) ii) If the Ford C-Max really does have a 'self-closing tailgate', why don't they also brag about the self-opening-and-closing windows? Self-changing gears? etc * I might have made that one up |
