As soon as I saw the car I was thinking along these lines. The next few years are certainly going to be interesting. The classes will have to be revamped without a doubt.

Whoever acts quickest could have quite a few manufacturers on their hands, although, with the ILMC and the prestige of the 24 hours, I'd say the ACO holds most of the cards at this stage.

yeaaaaaahhhh.... great news! For me Jaguar MUST to return officially and seriously in the racing's world. The motorsport really helps the image and sales. The competitions are in the DNA of the Jaguar.

Good. I've been wishing for a proper, fully factory-backed entries from Jaguar. Perhaps Rocketsports and the pitiful GT2 program would admit their defeat as well.

jaguar can not think of risking his own image and credibility in the world relying on an external team, but to take part officially. Jaguar has a long tradition of victories at Le Mans and in the rest of the world and a good screening program would be ideal LMP.

Nice programme, hope it comes off in LMP or GT.

They will have to have an external team involved as they do not have any expertise in this area and I would say limited human resources they can allocate to it. But they have done this before with TWR in 80's and 90's.

If he hadn't recently passed away I'm sure this could have been a project to resurrect TWR...

They did in the past - TWR - & that worked well for them.

In my view most (but not all) succesful motorsport programmes are best done by specialists backed by manufacturer rather taking things in house. Unless you have a long tradition you have a long tradition of having your own professional motorsports division (eg Porshe)

yes, but the RSR program is the confirmation of what I say. Okay rely on important teams, but always managed everything from Jaguar. TWR has been a part of the history of Jaguar, but now need new ideas, enthusiasm and experience. I dream of the revival of the Jaguar Sport team. Perhaps with a competent and successful team (as Aston Martin with Prodrive) but an official team!

That comes over as someone hoping the Board will say yes... And knowing they will not.

I'd like to think Jag would run a GT team, then step into LMP after they have some experience. But I'm not holding my breath.
