I say Lewis, great weekend overall, first win driving for Mercedes and a perfectly controlled race.
You can't ask for more.

For me, it's Lewis Hamilton for an accurately judged drive to the win, making decisive moves with gusto when he needed to.

There were also good drives from Kimi and Seb, but crucially Seb got stuck. Mark Webber also came back pretty well, while Romain Grosjean should have gone to Specsavers.

That's a bit harsh. Running into JB was clumsy and looked like the Grosjean of old. However he firmly resisted the Vettel Chop at the start and made a seriously ballsy move on Massa. OK, it didn't quite work in that he put four wheels off the track, but it was hardly in the same league as Vettel's off-track overtake at Hockenheim last year.

Despite the hot temperatures and not so stellar race pace of the Mercedes Hamilton managed to hold off Vettel and the Lotus cars to win.

Great first win Lewis Hope there is more like it.

Undoubtedly Hamilton this time. His drive was much like your typical Vettel drive to victory (although no one likes to give him DOTR on those occasions lol), where he manages to start at front, manage the tyres, but make great moves through traffic when he does have to pit.

Vettel, on the other hand, just got stuck in traffic all day and couldn't pass. Hamilton seemed to make it look easy, passing Button in about 2 laps, passing Webber in epic moves not once but twice. And Webber wasn't even that much slower than Hamilton at the time.

The other reason is Rosberg was almost a minute behind before he retired, and he certainly wasn't able to pass like Hamilton was.

No one else was particularly impressive, to be honest. Kimi's second was only after Grosjean was given penalties and Vettel just couldn't pass anyone, same with Webber; if this were a track you could pass on, Webber would have struggled to get 4th. Alonso was average, and possibly one of the few that wasn't getting held up during the race and often had a clear track.

Grosjean was exciting, and I thought the penalty on him for going off track was harsh. I'd like to see a replay to see if her really did put all 4 off. He could have given Hamilton a go for victory without that, as he was up to 2nd. But he seemed to drop off after that anyway, the penalty only cost him 15 secs but he was a long way back at the end, probably because he just couldn't get past Alonso.

I was pleased to see Vergne beat Ricciardo too. Ricciardo was several cars ahead of Vergne after the start, yet despite having one extra pit stop Vergne still caught and passed him on track.

Kimi...for being the mastermind of a two stop strategy and holding off a charging Redbull. Grosjean gets two penalties in one race so no way can he get any credit.

Lewis , his first win for Merc . A great defensive drive from Kimi although he may have been helped a little that Seb could not stay on his gearbox that much due to the heat .

Toss up between LH and KR. Went with KR since if it had been SVl in LH's place, I wouldn't have voted him DOTR, so why should I vote LH in similar circumstances?

Gotta go with the Hamster - Kimi a close 2nd for DOTR.

Lewis pushed hard, was uncompromising and managed his pace when the team needed him to. Great job.

The DOTR is Mr. Lewisham Hamster. He is German, don't you know?

Great race from him. After the difficult practise session and taking a surprise pole he took control of the race from the start. His overtaking moves are what gave him victory. He really used his head and all of his skill in that race.

Second place for Kimi. Took the Lotus to 2nd on a 2 stop strategy. Great stuff from him.

Third place for Vettel. Decent drive from him for a podium and decent points, but he got bogged down in traffic and that's why he is 3rd DOTR for me.
