I started out feeling cynical about the claims that it was a simulator, but considering the Dev teams history I thought that I'd keep an eye on this game.
But I saw the track list and car list the other day and now have seen a video and to be honest, lined up with GT5 & Forza III I think Shifts content is a bit.........Meh http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3...50472?type=flv Points for drifting and Draghting! Seems a bit arcade to me http://e3.g4tv.com/hdvideos/38893/Ne...Feed-Gameplay/ It looks good, but not good enough to pull me away from my old favorites so I'm thinking I'll now change my oppinion from a "Maybe I'll look into this" to a "I think I've seen enough, I'll live without it" If GT5 and F III wern't around the corner I'd probably give Shift a little more attention but now, I think not. |

I have no console - I therefore don't care about GT5 or Forza 3...I need my racing on PC - so I have to have more optimism for Shift

For sim racing action, look no further than Simbin!! These guys know what they are doing, have a look at Race Pro on the 360, thats a sim!!
Shift does look good tho, so yeah, maybe worth a peek, in a different league to FM3, RP etc |

Good games also. I have both rFactor and the RACE series.
I think from the gameplay, it looks like a prettied up GTR2 with a more 'NFS' car suite. |

Seeing as this will basically be Ferrari Project with an NFS lick of paint, I'm expecting big things.
It's far easier to make a driving sim accessible to arcade gamers than trying to pass off an arcade title to sim racers. |

played the full version on the Xbox 360 at modified live at brands hatch today, and to be honest it wasnt fantastic. The circuits, the damage and the cars are realistic, but i found the driving to be very unrealistic.

It's been designed as a sim from the ground up, based on the technology from Ferrari Project.
So far the public demo's have been of the beginner/arcade mode's, the developer's claim the sim mode is equal to their previous title's like GTR2 and can only be used with a wheel. |

As JAG says, all the demos are arcade mode, however I'l wait for some sort of demo before i make judgment.

Get rid of F in the title and you'll probably get a more realistic name for this game. I generally disliked the Need For Speed series, the early ones had poor controls but decent tracks. The later ones just had a Myriad of bad actors and those annoying police chases. Undercover was so bad that I abandoned it quarter way through the game for sooooo many reasons.
Although this looks slightly better due to them using racetracks rather than some large map, I won't hold my breath for this one. |

This ones being developed by the guys who brought us the GTR series remember
 I really need the demo to see what this is like without all the aids on, should be really good

Any rumblings around the web for possible demo release and a date? Past the US release date and was really hoping to try it before I drop $60 bucks for a game that sucks.
