Mark Poole was one oif the four Mark's in Formula Holden (Skaife, Larkham & McLaughlin) before moving on to V8 Supercar was a VP/VS Commodore with his backer James Rosenberg. They upgraded to a HRT VT in controversial circumstances. Allegedly the car was suppsed to roll straight off the track in HRT colours into the Rosenberg transporter but HRT instead took it back to Melbourne and when the car finally got back to James Rosenberg Racing the car was disappointing in terms of pace. Poole does driver education and vehicle preparation now I think. Don't think he's involved in the new Tim Slade version of James Rosenberg Racing.
David Attard basically backed away from Bob Tindal's Holden Commdore team and Greg Crick joined the team. Attard made a brief comeback with John Trimbole's team but from their was another to concentrate on his business IIRC. His brother Bill raced on for many years, involved mainly with Scotty Taylor's team. Brian Michelmore was basically a state level racer here in Queensland for many many years and has recently made a few appearances at historic race meetings in his retirement. |

Barry Arentz had his panel shop next to my father's concrete products factory at Casino in the later 60's and i remember seeing and hearing his race cars at the time..i also remember brian michelmore co driving for him..shame my interest in motor sport wasn't as strong then as it is now i sure would have taken a lot more interest

Allegedly sounds like the current Zukanovic car? |

There is not one piece of the Zukanovic car that came with it from HRT/WP... all has been replaced as various incidents have reshaped the unit involved.
That WP still provides technical support to this squad would be interesting to understand in light of the above... besides being a good source of new parts when others are crash-tested... |

Think sometimes when a team purchases a car they expect it to come fully set up with all the latest trick bits. A leading team isn't going to give away all their hard earned data, hence it will arrive in a 'detuned' state. The contract of sale should state what condition componetry will arrive in.
But its a bit off if a team takes components off and replaces them with substandard parts as had happened when Ken Matthews purchased the 88 Bathurst winner from Tony Longhurst full of parts from the non-compliant Wolf Sierra. |

He's been racing historic cars lately, including the ex-Anderson brothers Pinepac Group A Mustang at various places and remains an in demand engineer and race car tester, having done some work in Sports Sedans in recent years. He's expected to return to Bathurst this year, the new co-driver regulations putting a premium on Bathurst experience.
But don't ask who yet. |

Seats are filling up fast and no Glenn yet I reckon he'd make a good fit at JDR with Rick Kelly. But anyway, we'll see what happens. |

And you'd be wrong. Seton's invite to HRT came from Mark Skaife. Skaife can't even get a ride with HRT now, his old mates from back in the day are hardly likely to an invite without him.
If Seton doesn't get a ride, you know it would be just as likely that he turned rides down rather than didn't get an invite. |

But then a few weeks later, after Bathurst he was quoted as saying he wanted to give it another go? I don't know. We'll see. |

I would have thought Mr Seton would be a better choice for Mr Fiore's enduro campaign... based on the speed shown last weekend in the Evo, what could Mr Seton do in an 888 spec Falcon without any championship pressure on the line?

Here is his site http://www.graemecrosby.com/
After running Commodores in 86 & 87, he then co-drove Sierras for a few years with Andrew Bagnall and Colin Bond. Last time I recall him racing was with Peter Brock in the NZ enduros at the end of 92. On the basis of his performances in 86 he was being suggested as a replacement for Allan Moffat at HDT at one point. |
