So Lémeret is their "pilot de point"?... Isn't he a journalist first and a race car driver only second? Would have expected a bit more for what should effectively be an official Honda entry.

He also comes with a hefty sponsorship package from DHL though, or don't they sponsor him anymore?

I assume Lemeret is the driver.

If I remember well that French speaking Belgian driver who once drove the JAS Honda Accord in ETCC (I forgot his name) has also plans for entering TCR Benelux with a Civic.

Pierre-Yves Corthals, he drove the JAS Accord and later a Seat Leon for Exagon, both sponsored by Monroe.

Thats him

On his website there's TCR calendar so I assume he has still plans for entering.

Lémeret is quicker than most of you guys think. On the other hand, he doesn't know if he'll be fast enough for young guns like Sam Dejonghe.

Next to that, it seems like he will have different team mates: Stoffel Vandoorne, Bertrand Baguette, Tiago Monteiro... And I'm not kidding...

Don't think so, car is paid by Honda Belgium.

That's pretty cool. Come to think of it, I think all TCR-series should have one or two one-hour two driver races a year...

But why would they pay for it all alone if DHL can co-fund the ride?

Because I don't think he and DHL are partners anymore. For example: no sign of DHL on his Ferrari during last year's Spa 24 Hours. And the car is paid by Honda Benelux, not Honda Belgium, my bad.

Don't know if there are conflicting schedules but would be great to have co-drivers like Vandoorne, Huff and Michelisz.

On 23 January there will be the official presentation of the Italian series. Some teams and drivers have been announced in the last weeks, but I have to say that between those names a great driver is still missing... Let's see...

Also allowing various Cup-cars.... probably not a bad idea.

CNVT TCC 2.0 - Carros provenientes de Troféus
CNVT TCC 1.6 - Carros provenientes de Troféus
CNVT TCC 1.4 - Carros provenientes de Troféus

I guess that refers to turbo-charged engines... so the 2.0 would be the VLN-Astras and older Seats and perhaps also the non-TCR Seat Cup-racers.
1.6 for the current generation Renault Clios. And 1.4 for the Seat Ibiza SC?

Uhm, I think there won't be a great number of participants with TCR cars, if FullEventos plans a similar number of categories.

Looks like Skoda are producing a Cup-version of the Octavia:

http://www.octaviacup.cz/get/file.php?id=66

And here's where it gets interesting - from the pdf:
Quote:
The organiser develops the TCR car.
Unfortunately, there's no further context given, but it would of course make sense, seeing how the Octavia is based on the Golf/Seat-platform.
