Does anyone know where theyve put the player on itv.com? I just seem to be going in circles looking for it

Ignore that, it works in IE, just not firefox

Doesn't work on Chrome or IE for me. From my laptop, it looks as if ITV have forgotten to add the video feed to the page

Edit: Sorted. Make sure your ad blocker is switched off or the video won't load

Main link from the BTCC page wouldn't work for me, but http://www.itv.com/sim5/ did.

looks like familiar faces back in the first spots, Plato , the Honda boys and Turks

Smith and Menu in 7th and 8th good results might get podium and win with reversed grid !!

also good for Ingram

GIO back in 18th, really not the comeback he hoped for..

Ingram has to be the most impressive of the session. To put that car up in sixth for his first race, well a potential star of the future he most definitely is.

Also good to see all but one champion in the top ten.

Nice work from the VW's.. definite improvement from those cars.

Also, looking through pics on BTCC.net - isn't it nice to see a team boss with the clipboard and stop watches!

I've seen him use a stopwatch and scribble the times on a napkin out the back of a paddock before! Very clever studious man.

Cannot wait for the racing to start, Turks could lead into T1 with a good start.

I see BTCC is on ITV Player catch-up too this year, just a shame this doesn't seem to include qualifying at present.

Turkington will probably lead, but the BMW is more vulnerable than most to the Clearways love tap sadly.

don't worry the other teams spearheaded by Plato and Shedden will again moan about unfair RWD start advanatage like back in 2009 and Gow will slap them again with a very long 1st gear

it insults the previous BTCC drivers Plato has 30 races per year while the likes of Andy Rouse had just 10 races per year , even the super tourers had just 20 races instead of 30 , totally unfair comparison

yes he won many races but the conditions were totally different
Exactly, exactly, exactly! Thank you! (Sorry, I will now get off my hobby-horse!)

the commentators and the TV people have to say these sort of things and try to get the excitement going, yes you can always pick holes in things they say but someone would find fault with anything,

Why have a go about Plato when the fact is the series organiser moved the goalposts? It could be Neal, but isn't.

The fact is that Plato *has* won more races than anyone else.

Well, I guess you could create some kind of 'normalized' wins tally by calculating weekend winners for the multi-race rounds.

Giovanardi may be 18th, but he was only 0.6s off pole. Ridiculously tight qualifying. 16 cars within half a second of pole.

well at least Shedden didn't have any crashes in practice/qualy it was almost becoming a tradition for him

and speaking of traditions now that both Menu and Gio have a drive Dynamics must look to some other replacement for when Neal will brake his finger again in the summer

So as I read it: as long as he turns up for Donington, he'll be okay to compete the rest of the year but he no longer has a TBL (and hence no guarantee of a place in 2015-6). If he misses Donington, then he's at the mercy of TOCA to let him enter Thruxton.

I hope not. Surely it's a case of force majeure as it is down to a parts issue.

"We have now got 99 per cent of the parts for my car, but we didn’t get the last of them until Friday afternoon"

Out of the two and a half seasons Dan has been in the BTCC, he has missed one weekend up until now, Rockingham in 2012. I can't see them taking away a TBL for given the circumstances, it's not like he is one of the drivers that sits out Knockhill every year.

rather strange problem seems

Quote:
The 2007 and 2008 champion believes the car is competitive on old tyres, but is not yet getting the best out of fresh rubber.

"The car is not too bad, but we need to find performance on new tyres," he told AUTOSPORT. "I still need to learn the car.

"It's a really reactive car compared to the S2000s I've driven and the feedback is different.

"The tyres have good performance because they are big, but if the front to rear balance isn't right it's difficult to drive.

"As the tyres fall away, on average lap time, we are not far off."

0.6 secs on Brands Indy, isn't that like 2,5 secs on normal lenght tracks? It sure ain't nothing.

Agreed. Commentators and some journalists like to say things like "23 cars covered by less than a second" but the Brands Indy is so short at just 1.9 km, so of course the cars will be close!

It's not like having 23 cars within a second at Donington. Even in 1997 when Renault were dominant there were 15 cars within a econd at Brands Indy.

But if you look back over past years, 1s covers the top 11-15 in qualifying at Brands Indy. So having 23 within 1s is the closest field it has been for a long time.

Quite gutted I can't be there today. Relegated to TV viewing

Shame ITV are subjecting us to 2 x Bore-sche cup and only giving one of each Ginetta race.
