Rubio should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2014 WTCC Race of Hungary - Hungaroring - Round 3

No surprise Citroen has got max ballast this weekend. I guess we will finally have a new winner (in Race 2). Look forward to the Norbi-Mania once again

Of course I wonder how much the Citroen were playing with the field, but anyway the Honda cars seem to be fast here (especially in Sector 2). More hopes to get some proper competition

first 7 with 0.347 seconds in q2, pretty good development if you remember how big the gaps were at marrakech

Race 1 was boring.
Race 2, saw only last couple of laps but looked better.

With the full ballast for Citroen the field is better balanced, especially for reverse grid of race 2.

This is just a sh*t racetrack where it is almost impossible to overtaken otherwise Citroen would have dominated again.

Well, in Morocco Citroens were just driving by on the straights. Here that was not possible. Still racing was boring as hell.

Only saw Race 2, and for a Coronel fan that was a nail-biter

The races were worse than the ones at Paul Ricard in terms of action (Race 2 was actually good to my point of view) but surely better in terms of the results. I agree that track played a big part in this - remember, it was hard to pass here even for TC2 cars in the past (just remember once Muller-Huff finished 6&7th or so in Race 2 when they couldn't get through). Plus it's difficult to expect big changes when Citroen are running together then Hondas together and Chevys together Surprised that Morbidelli became the first non-Citroen winner.

What I may note:
1) Good scrap on the final lap.
2) Honda are definitely starting the races way better than the others.
3) Ladas seem to stuggle on twisty circuit while Hondas seem to like them

I also believe Muller didn't really push in Race 2 as he understood he was in front of Lopez which i the key moment for him. Otherwise I presume Coronel would have been eaten..

@Rubio: but it looks like, that the Chevys have very good traction and maybe good horsepower to pull away from the other cars on the main straight.
So they could not find the right place to overtook at the end of the finish straight.
And rest of track you can only overtook when the forerunner makes a mistake.

But maybe we didn't see the full potential of the Citroen cars. They may wanted to give the others a small chance, to keep the competition alive.

Its like the works-chevys did sometimes, to not show full potential!

Agree, though I think Citroens have got better traction anyway, everyone noted that at Marrakech already. Chevys definitely have a very good engine, they dominated the last 3 seasons because of that too. And, yeah, nowhere to overtake here
