There had originally been speculation that Silverstone would replace Moscow if the circuit wasn't completed in time, although Brno had originally been on the calendar but had been dropped because of problems with the close date for the WTCC round. Brno is a better track than Moscow anyway, some top notch circuits on there with Spa and Zandvoort.

How can you know if Brno is a better track than Moscow, when the track lay-out of the Moscow track is unknown?

I think Brno is one of the most boring tracks on the DTM calendar.

I was under the impression it was gonna be a streetrace, which generally aren;t up to the level as a good road course, personally I like Brno.

Street courses never look good on paper (excluding Monaco and Macau) but they have a character to them which seems to add to the viewing.

Look at the Norisring, the overhead layout looks to be the most uninspiring track in exsistence yet once the cars are on it they always produce an outstanding race.

Well it might look boring for DTM, but the track isn't. It is a wonderful track, a bit like Brands or Cadwell.

Sorry, I can't see the resemblance with Brands I find it a bit of a micky mouse track. The DTM race and the ETCC race last year at Brno weren't that great. A track doesn't have to be wonderful, it has to produce exciting races.

Well, I did say a BIT like Brands. It goes uphill and downhill, doesn't it!
Brno should be better than let's say Norisring. But it probably depends on the racing anyhow. I've been there a few times and the racing wasn't bad.

in terms of track characteristics i'd say that the new nurburgring is closest to brno, both have fastish chicanes, and a fair amount of elevation change. brno is the better track though imo.
