Dont dislike Jamie at all, just think roland is trying to hide his teams poor performance this weekend and jamie was not on the racing line , remember he started 5th and was battling for tenth or 15th or something along way behind where he started

My view from the armchair on this incident was that this was a low percentage move for P10 on Lap 1 of a NC round??? I know that people will say that any time the helmet comes on it is racing, but this is business and these guys are professionals so that was an all round bad decision by JC

True, but was millimetres from ending JC’s day too if you have a good look, he is nearly wiped out by JW’s spin, so considering not for points I think even James would take that one back if he could

Maybe if Whincup had put his foot on the brake instead of rolling back into the track this drama wouldn't have happened. It's not the first time these so called professional drivers have rolled back onto the track causing an accident instead of standing on the brakes

Not surprising though - after two solid shunts in two race weekends I'd be getting it back on a jig and checking it all out and that's a job best handed to 888 as the chassis builders.

Two observations from this weekend's races.

Jack Perkins isn't doing a bad job as a commentator. Not bad for a young bloke.

I wonder whether we will see an introduction of nascar style spotters in V8 land. I am sure the spotters exist when they do the road courses over there, and I can't help think a system like that might help avoid the drivers piling up like they did today.

Some teams already use spotters at the endurance races, certainly HRT have had them at Bathurst for a number of years, planting people at various points up Mountain Straight, and atop the big hill

Other teams have had people spotting at the Sandown 500 race too

In NASCAR, a spotter warns of trouble, of who's next in the pursuit, but also gives views on the chassis balance, relative engine performance etc...

Presumably being plugged into the circuit officials channel will also be of benefit?

Well done to the teams with the crashed cars that were repaired overnite... BJR would be well experienced at fast fixes this year, and WP would be too...

The tap from JC didn't warrant a pile-up. There would be many more significant touches that lead to nothing or don't even get noticed, so it's an unfortunate incident. However, JC had a lots of room on the inside, two car widths between Jamie and the tyre bundle on the kerb. It also looked the car may've understeered. Not a Paul Morris bonehead move, but JC was negligent.

I think because it's JC everone is jumping up and down a bit harder.

Judging by Roland's outburst, he's not used to his team having one of 'those' weekends? Either that or JC beating his team in a customer car still bugs him...
