Franchises / Licences for Sale / Lease!
FPR confirmed the running of only two cars on 04. Now if LP leases RNR for his third car, and Speedy goes to the Konica series (as rumoured) then that would meen that licences: 13 IMS, 24 Romano/PMM, 43 L2 PWR, and 99 TMR are all up for sale or lease!
Are there any bidders?! |

This reeks of Demand and Supply
The more Supply (liscences) the demand will be less forcing prices down. Maybe SBR will regret giving wintebottom away. Youlden may have a supercheap drive next year. Ohhh the possibilties |

If they are put up for sale and no-one buys, are the owners still required to field cars?

The Holden 'consortium' effectively ran 6 cars this year, so there are ways around it.

Why do you believe that FPR are only running 2 cars next season? I have seen the press release too but what is said in the press and what actually happens are likely to be 2 different things.
The whole argument about the switch back to 2 cars was because of the 3-cars-to-a-pit-boom... which is alleviated when the satellite team housing another team's franchises manages to get round that, and provide an economy of scale to the business. We shall see |

I heard that Paul Morris bought the Romano L2. Still think the Toll L2 may be shaky as well.

PMM cant/dont want to run a second car till the main one is sorted out properly. And why would PMM buy a franchise when their legal action coming soon will give them a slot for free
The test day with Tratt and FPR was no accident (haha) and pointed to the beginnings of a satellite just waiting to be launched into orbit |

Basically running 4 cars, but in 2 distinct and separate groups... the Ford Credit Lowndes/Seton cars and the Toll/FPV Tratt/TBA arrangement.

Hope this is true, would be good to see Noske run in a well budjeted team with international input, i'm sure we would see his talent come through.

So that is how the Shell money is going to FPR. Paul Little would probably have more money than FPR so i don't think a team like that would be short of funding. It would need a good development driver to run alongside Tratt though.

Pete, Noske and Tratt as the 3rd and 4th cars, wilson to 888 and bright to DJR along side Brabham junior can find a ride with bernard. Fits I think especially with the bright parting shots at holden about no VY for the team

Well if the EC rumour mill is right, Mark Noske has his own deal nailed with WPS for a 2 car team in 2004

The need to go to 4 cars for SBR evaporated when Mark Winterbottom was signed to Larkham Motor Sport.
SBR arent running a Konica program next season, the current AU championship winner is in negotiation for sale, and there are enough AU bits around to complete the spare shell they have in the workshop for sale. |

Did'nt WPS recently purchase the 00 motorsport team, if they did would'nt that come with a L2 franchise as well, so Noske would join up with them and would be a 2 car team.
2 L2 franchises. |

Mark Noske's #23 car currently uses the LRT L1 franchise to operate under, or half of it anyway.
I believe the timeframe for the purchase options 00 had over two particular L2 franchises has lapsed, meaning that a purchaser would need to arrange their own franchises. In the end it remains unclear whether WPS has bought 2 00 cars, or the whole 00 factory.... The other interesting aside to that may be that Charlie O'Brien comes back to full time racing to steer the 2nd car... |
