911targa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Felbermayr Junior should feels a little bit upset now, for years he can always get an LM24 entry from the team even when they have only one car in(like 2008 he's with Henzler and Davison), now he's on GT Reserve 4th, very tough to be invited.

They've got both their 'full-season' cars in though- and as the Felbermayr Jnr car is on neither the WEC or ELMS entry lists, I'm not that surprised that what seems to be a one-off Le Mans only entry didn't get in...

So apparently Sarrazin is close to landing a WEC GTE-Pro drive according to Dagys.

Out of Peugeot's drivers that should have been carried over from 2011, this leaves Gene and Montagny in limbo... I wonder if we'll see them pop up anywhere.

Stephane Sarrazin going to GTE-Pro with Aston-Martin Racing? Just like good old times! Would seem the most logical given the former relationship.

I guess Montagny is all out of luck now seeing as how he has been driving mischievously for the past 3 years with Peugeot basically allowing the behavior. Now that Puegeot comes out from under his feet. I dont see any team in sports cars that might want him in there car after seeing the BigScreens on the pitstraight at Le Mans where he has been caught alot of peoples attention with regards to blocking technique.

I´m thinking Luxury Racing alongside Makowiecki - would make a great driver pairing.

With the confirmation of the Milwaukee IndyCar race on the same weekend as Le Mans... where does this leave Bourdais? He's scheduled for a full-time (I think) ride with Dragon Racing.

Does this mean he's out of the Pescarolo Dome? (If he was ever officially in it?)

Which leads to another question: If so, who replaces him? [rumor starter alert] Montagny? Loic Duval? (who has raced in Japan a lot, so Dome might like that)

Bourdais planned for this scenario and he has permission from the team to skip the Milwaukee IndyCar race.
Quote:
“That was part of the negotiations, which slowed the agreement a little bit,” Bourdais explained. “Jay needed some approval from the sponsors that it would be OK for me to miss one race if that scenario materializes. I’ve secured Le Mans because I already had a deal for that."

#63 only entered ILMC last year and won't race WEC this time, I meant I was quite surprise Felbermayr Jr isn't going to be a #88 WEC driver ,Felbermayr company is, and always the biggest sponsor for the Porsche team after renamed in 2008.

That is a great pickup and Starworks will have a stellar lineup. Surely this puts them among the favorites.

Agreed, on both counts. More generally, I'd say it raises the overall profile of LMP2 quite considerably.

Great news!

Really great to see so many stellar drivers in LMP2... I`m pretty sure Kolles will field a few known names as well with their connections.

A year ago there were doubts if the new LMP2s would be quick enough etc, great to see that the concept has taken off this quickly.

You think? The lead drivers for the two cars (Thomas Josef Holzer for #32 and Dariusch Ahrabian for #33) are not promising at all. His R10 program (2009-2010) also used less know drivers with limited endurance experience.

Yet it proved to be a good springboard for drivers such as Lotterer and Jarvis who became Audi works drivers.

I think these two are named first because they bring part of the budget, I expect one very solid pro driver per car at minimum.

Kolles has always been a mixed bag but they always had some good pros in there: Krumm, Jarvis, Lotterer, Bakkerud etc.

Jarvis was already employed by Audi: he started in DTM in 2008 and drove Le Mans for Kolles in 2010

A number of drivers ended of their racing carreer after the Kolles R10 program: Christijan Albers, Giorgio Mondini, Charles Zwolsman.

Yeah, if the ARX-03b is within reach of the fastest LMP2 cars... we'll see why Sarrazin took overall pole three years in a row.

LMP2 is becoming a bit of an arms race when it comes to driving talent. Not a bad thing at all to have hitters such as Sarrazin competing.

So can these guys compete together at Le Mans given Tresson was the named driver in the #23 car and Mailleux was the man in the #26?
