DEADLINE FOR PICKS: Friday, October 9, at 2:45 p.m. (GMT)..That is approx. 9:45 a.m. on Friday, when the first practice session begins

PLEASE Get them in Before the Deadline

-- The IRL’s final race of the 2009 season at the 1.5-mile superspeedway in south Florida…a race that has been exciting and fast in the past and should close the season off with a bang. Three drivers have it all on the line to win the championship..Who will in it all?

The event is 200 laps and 300 miles

For everyone but OpenWheel:

Unless Penske can pull off a miracle, Helio probably won't be qualifying this afternoon...He had a suspension failure in the final minutes of the last practice session and mangled the left side of his car against the wall...

With only two hours before quals begin, I highly doubt that they can get an engine into his backup, let alone put a setup on it to make a run, thus he'll be starting at the back of the pack tomorrow evening.

OpenWheel was the only one who didn't have Helio in her "Top Three Rows" picks....

Here are your quals results:

No one had dario on the Pole

Peno was closest to the 4-lap speed: Actual-212.696 Peno-212.150

No one had dario for the Fast lap

Peno was closest to that speed: Actual-212.885 Peno-212.850

In the Top 6, OpenWheel and Peno had 6 pts. each, drewdawg and NAC had 5 pts each and Tim had 5 pts.

All picked Lazier as the slow qualifier for 2 pts.

Peno was closest the the slow avg. speed: Actual-205.606 Peno-205.800, thus earning 2 pts. plus a 2 pt. bonus for having both.

NAC picked Danica for the "Just Miss' for 2 pts.

Totals after Qualifying:

1. Peno - 16 pts.
2. NAC - 9 pts.
3. OpenWheel - 8 pts.
