I haven't seen a timetable, but racing starts early at Bemsee meetings - be there before 10:30 if you don't want to miss a race!

I'll be marshalling at Shell - should be fun!

Thanks Dave, you're out of the way a bit at Shell,I'll give you a wave anyway. While we're on the subject it's a pitty you can't spectate down there.

Unfortunately there isn't the room for spectators at Shell unless you want to become either a fish or bird - it is, however, a fabulous corner to work and is unique in being the only banked hairpin in the country.

Try the BEMSEE website for details of the meeting but get there early tomorrow because Practice starts at 8.30 am.

Good waterproofs took care of that! A good day, in spite of the weather, though.

How did it go - I was raging that we weren't able to come along.

The line up looked fab - was it a good day?

Yes it was a good day apart from the weather letting us down in the middle part of the day.

Yes,the weather did get a bit too much. The line up was brilliant,I don't know about anyone else but I though it was ashame the couldn't race a few more laps(I know they can't because there's so much to fit in)but maybe the racing would be better if there was a few more laps????

Short races are a fact of life in club racing - the cost of hiring a circuit like Oulton is enormous, & just about the only source of revenue the club has is entry fees. To keep the cost of entry down, the cost has to be spread over as many riders as posible, which means that a lot of shortish races have to be run.

The races yesterday were reduced from 8 laps to 6 because of the weather - obviously lap times increase in the wet, & the possibilty of more crashes has to be taken into account.

Keep coming to club meetings - they are great fun!

It is probably better supported, as it's a National, rather than club, meeting. The format's different, with fewer races & timed qualifying. If the programme's similar to the April meeting, there will be nine races, all of twelve laps except for the superteens, who get two five-lappers.

It's as good a day's racing as you'll see at Oulton this year!
