Lakeside figures have been dodgy for many years... and yes, they do count every pass handed out. It's not a 'paying customers' head count, but a count of all bodies there for the purposes of explaining to advertisers and sponsors how many were exposed. I would doubt the 25,000 at QR, even if I wasn't there.

can I be honest with you, the figure at Lakeside for the Konicas was nearly on the conservative side... they obviously didn't get a count the people jumping the fence...
But QR- I'd say that was about right. They had something in the mid 30Ks for the three days, which I would believe- there was a very good turn outon Friday, and the best Saturday crowd I've ever seen there. |
