Will the Nismo team run Michelins next season then? The Deltawing GT-R has not won a race for quite a while.

Autosport magazine reports the interview to Masaaki Bandoh about the future of Super GT.
**GT500 (About 2014 regulations) *The size of monocoque is the same as that of DTM. *Tire: front/narrow tread, rear/same size as present *Engine: 2 litter DI inline 4 cylinder Turbo *Fuji spec (low drag) aero: only the rear wing will be changed. But spec rear wing. There is no competition. *Update during the season: Aero updated during the season will not be allowed. **GT300 *GTA introduces Mother chassis monocoque (under 5 million yen). *GTA manages spec engine, and leases to the team (maintenance cost: under 10 million yen per year.). *BOP after 2012: GTA will determine BOP itself. Super GT as we know it is ending Sad to see them standardize the cars and allow no upgrades during the season. Hopefully 2013 is a great year.

Gee, these changes are so cruel! Even the aero updates are not allowed in 2014! Last edited by MagVanisher; 5 Oct 2012 at 11:54. |

How come they'll have to standardize everything, including the freaking engine!?
It's not like Nissan or Toyota can make a 4-cylinder engine that can take on BMW or Mercedes. I wish they could remain 8-cylinders maximum, yet the Germans we're planning to dumb it down in order to make their brand as superior as the Japanese... Speaking of ending of a great era, what's next for ITR? Taking over Trans-Am or TTA by standardizing it according to DTM rules? |

GTA announces that GTA and ITR has agreed on unification of the technical regulations of Super GT and DTM.
GTA and ITR hold a joint press conference on October 16 at Tokyo. http://supergt.net:8080/upload/files...1251509819.pdf |

At least the Japanese racing will still be better because they're not afraid of a little contact.
