Can't properly answer your first question, except to say EERO has just replied to Craig's post in "Site News and Updates" too.
Perhaps it's your 'Cookies'? Check your profile, which can be found in the box under the 10 Tenths banner at the top. Click 'Yes' in My Forum / Edit Profile / Browse Board With Cookies That might do it. Otherwise, dunno. Sorry Liz! But your second question, polls; If you click on "Post new Topic" within a particular forum, and then scroll down to the bottom of that page, there's a poll option. You should be OK. OK Liz, think it's all fixed up now - no-one should be able to reply to the topics at all now. This is correct behaviour as all feedback should go in the feedback forum, obviously.
I'm back off to the announcements forum to check that the 'split topic' feature works...
