My 1971 winner has now arrived - very nice looking car!

Next on the 'must have' list are the Sauber and the Porsche... so I best keep in with the bank manager

I have just discovered that Exoto do the 1967 Gurney/Foyt winner and I have seen a beautiful example for sale. Anyone care to suggest what might be the going rate for it? I am severely tempted but don't want to go overboard and pay over the odds... help!!

I've seen it at between £180-£200s before.

Was bidding on the 1983 winner, in full Rothmans livery (I recently saw one in a kind of hybrid livery!!), last night but dipped out when it went above my ceiling price. It went for over £150 I hope there's another one available soon but I really can't justify that money unfortunately

Has anyone heard of anyone stocking the 2004 Goh car yet? I really want to add that one to the collection when it is available but everytime I ask it's 'oh yes, it'll be with us by this time next week, sir'

Well we all know what a new post to this thread means...!

I have picked up a new addition. I am now the proud owner of the 1983 winning Porsche. Very nice too. But it has the 'Racing' livery so I'm off to this thread for advice on how to remove them!!

From the little I've heard Norev appear to have a new line named 'Le Mans Legends', so I expect we'll see lots of new Le Mans winners.

I've recently picked up two Porsche RS Spyders from Norev and they're very nice.

They're a little more detailed than a UT Porsche 911 GT1 with a fanstatic molding and great wheels. The brakes let it down a little but when displayed they look very striking.

£20 bargain!

905 and R10 due in Spring

£20?! Wow!

Thanks for the tip on the arrival date. Any idea how accurate they are with their announced dates? As we all know certain models are announced which don't see the light of day for several years! An example would be the 1982 Porsche 956 which, incidently, I have just been informed is now available. It comes sans Rothmans or Racing decals - the idea being the end user can purchase Rothmans logos and apply them themselves.

Norev seem pretty good, a pre Le Mans release I would think is a definat.

The R10 will probably be released by another manufactuer in time.

Hi,
I just got the No 6 RS Spyder for Christmas and was surprised to see it is the 2006 version. The no 6 above is the Laguna Seca 2005 car, the new one is a post-Sebring 2006 car (note mirror positions and new ALMS logos)

A bit more research yeilds the following:-

* The original #6 is the Laguna Seca car from 2005 - black mirrors, old ALMS logo. (note absence of RS Spyder logos on the nose - this is, I believe, a mistake - although there must have been a time when #6 didn't have them!)

* The #7 is the Sebring 2006 car (3 drivers)- red mirrors, new ALMS logo.

* The new #6 is from Houston or Mid-Ohio 2006 (2 drivers)- yellow mirrors, new ALMS logo but without a white background which appeared at Lime Rock & all susequent races in 2006.

Now I'll need all 3

BTW, I just noticed the other day that Norev's #7 car has a fairly big decoration error on the left hand side.

Spot it yet?

The series decals next to the number are on the wrong side. These number stickers are "handed", race number to the front decals to the back. So the one on the right is right and the one on the left has the number disappearing down the exit vent!

Urgh, what a cock up! Here is a photo of the car at Sebring to demonstrate your point.

PS I have been very good lately - not bought any cars for my Le Mans winners collection for aaaaages!

The new Spark Goh R8's out. I was going to buy it but I already have four R8's including the Spark Champion car and three Maisto factory cars, I can't justify sepnding £50 on yet another at this time. I'll wait for the Veloqux R8 that McNish drove.

In the meantime I've bought the new Rothmans 956 and AutoArt 2002 Bentley.

I also took the drastic decision to sell ALL of my collection other than sportscar prototypes from the 80's onwards and my Group B rally models!

About time! Will be very interested to hear what the quality of the 82 winner is as I have heard that it's not top notch sometimes. Will you be buying Rothmans stickers for it? If you are I'd appreciate your feedback on those too,

Which reminds me I still have my 83 winner sat in a box upstairs awaiting its stickers. I ordered them months ago but they never arrived grr

Autoart have announced 1/18 Porsche 962 short and long tail Le Mans models.

As they're classic cars they should be fully opening like the Mazda 787B.

Imitial releases are:-

88770 1/18 PORSCHE 962 C LEMANS 1987 #17 O.BELL

88871 1/18 PORSCHE 962 C LEMANS 1988 #7 D.HOBBS/D.THEYS/F.KONRAD

88872 1/18 PORSCHE 962 C LEMANS 1988 #8 J.WINTER/F.JELINSKI/S.DICKENS

88873 1/18 PORSCHE 962 C 1988 LONG TAIL LEMANS VERSION #19

These are all long tail cars, the short tail cars only arrived at Le Mans in 1990 sfter the two chicanes were to the Mulsanne straight, so we're likely to see further 1989 and 1990 models!!!!!!!!!!
