SEMSEC - 2010 Classic Car Race Series.

In yesterday's Motorsport News - Semsec is launching a new Classic Car Race Series for cars built before Dec31 1975.

I cannot find anything about it on the Semsec website. Has anybody here got info. on regs etc ?

Interesting, Autosport suggested it was pre 1980, not late '75.

Still, anything to further dilute grids i guess

Do hope its succesful though.

There is nothing more in MN than I have put in the original thread, Rob. I have also posted a query on the Semsec forum to see if that will produce any further info.

Pity that the picture they used to illustrate the story in Autosport was actually of a CSCC "Swinging Sixties". Oh well.

So you think it's for Classic Drivers then, Rob? Sounds like a good idea to me although there is the danger they could call it 'Old Timers' instead.

Yes, but running what tyres? No mention in the regs and I had assumed they would be differentiating from the saloon champ by not using slicks?

Tyres are free in the regs
The 79 cutoff means all the 4x4's and most Turbo cars are not eligible
