website design

I just want to say this website is really badly designed. I don't know how much you paid, or whether it was free but you got ripped off either way. If you're interested I can send you a preview at no obligation or cost of this website redone. And if you like it we'll work something out. Thanks.

Hang on a minute, let me get this right...

You:
a) Insult potential customers
b) Host your own site on a free host which force feeds the visitor tacky pop up ads
c) 'This site is designed for 800x600 pixels'
d) Use the dreaded frames
e) Spam discussion forums to promote yourself

Yep... very professional!

So you think this is bad design. I think it shows your lack of understanding of web-site design. The Ten-tenth web-site is a news and forum for people interested in motor sport, sorry to have to point this out. Therefore the design seems right for the task. The forum has been developed using php coding, I doubt you even know what that is let alone how to code it, and most of the time it works well people post a message and get a reply, Sounds like a good well designed forum to me.
I looked at www.shakewell.cjb.net thinking it must be something special. Wow! It had a flash animation into, shame about the sound and graphics quality. Also why do I have to enter the page when the animation finishes? It’s possible to use a simple bit of script to go straight to the home page you know. Also do you know how to use Meta tags properly or how to make sites search engine friendly? Why did you use frames?
So you have a bit of javascript, this code is available from many web-sites, like javacity.com, for free,
Sorry 2/10 for effort I’d say, if you are looking for a job as a web designer/developer you will have to do much better than that.

I agree completly, whilst F3000.com (if its the site hes reffering to) isnt the flashiest site about its still the BEST F3000 website about making a good website isnt reliant on having flash animation and a good colour scheme, its about content and ease of use, and as far as Im concerned F3000.com scores 10/10 on both and about 6/10 for design and colour scheme.

Dont bag this site, its obvious looking at ur website that u are a good designer in terms of using flash but I doubt u have the credentials to run a website as good as this and as professional as this. Well Done Dany.

Exactly the guy to me seems a bit of a amatuer, if you are a top line professional u dont need to advertise your services in this manner, okay his website is niceley designed but its more than likely hes just a guy, thats self employed and is looking for some work......oh and free advertising.

Of course as you say, he could be referring to another site, but when I looked at the list of websites that use 10 tenths motor sport, I think this is the only Formula 3000 website, although I could be wrong.
