Nikon lens for sale

Dunno if this is exactly on topic, but as it may help somebody starting out, I feel it's not inappropriate..

I have an old faithful Nikon f2.8 70-200 VR.. It's about 3 years old and has covered some miles with me (about 150,000 to 250,000).. !! ..

That said, I look after stuff, and although the lens hood has taken a few knocks, the lens itself still looks pretty good.. far better than you might expect from pro use..

It has the SWM motors to drive the focus quickly.. and photographically, it's as sharp as a tack.. always has been a good lens optically..

It's just been serviced and refurbished by Nikon Pro Service and the zoom, focus, stop down, optics etc are all AOK..

Still has box and supplied case (which is unused)..

The catch.. well, yes, there is one.. The VR has stopped working.. and, frankly, it isn't worth the cost of fixing it..

So, consider this a good used 70-200 f2.8.. with pro optics.. but no VR.. I can assure you that money spent on this lens will be far better spent than on the prosumer lenses, even without the VR (and if you want that, the dealers will relieve you on the £1200 or so for a new one..)..

Price will reflect the age and non-working VR..

PM me if interested...

A very good lens judging by your Laguna Seca photos. I'll pass and wait for the 500 Great results with that lens.

Yes.. In fact, if you didn't already know, my 500 f4 AFS2 will be swapped out for the new VR version over the coming months.. PM if you're interested in that.. It is in great condition, by the way, with the carry case etc..
