I have one at home on my HD...can't remember how big it is though. I think I downloaded it off some privateers website a year or so ago.

When I get home tonight I'll see how big it is and then see if I can put it up somewhere for you to download it.

Cheers Buck.

Alan,

If the clip is not copyright, I can make space available - and a link - on the RaceTime site for anyone that wants it.

WOW ..THAT SOUNDS GREAT.

ONE THING I WOULD LIKE TO ADD ABOUT 10'S bATHURST COVERAGE ..THEY SAID THEY HAD 40 INCAR CAMERAS FOR THE EVENT..WHICH IS GREAT ..MAYBE THEY COULD'VE ACTUALLY PUT A CAMERA IN EVERY SINGLE CAR SO WE COULD SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH EVERYONE INSTEAD OF 5 OR 6 HANGING OFF THE VALVOLINE CAR.

JUST A THOUGHT.

Interesting stuff re: onboard cameras...

I've been reading through some old Bathurst programs where ch7 listed how many cameras they had at the mountain. In 1981 there was 21, and in 1986 there were 23... so 40 odd in car cameras is fairly amazing...

The funny thing is you could probably fit 40 in car cameras to the space that one used go into in the early 80s !

I was watching my 21 Years of Commodore : The Bathurst Years DVD and the in car camera in Brock's car made it look like he had a passenger sitting next to him it was that big.

They actually did a little segment on RPM a week or so ago about the in car cams on the WRC Cars...amazing stuff.

Australia actually invented the in car camera system - even the Yanks acknowledged that at the begginning of the Daytona 500 coverage last year.

I'd be good if someone could make a V8 Supercar video website, like you see with F1.
The only onboard lap, for V8's I know of, is from the GMC 400 2000.
If you want it, go here: http://www.gmc400.com.au/itrack.cfm
It's the Ford inside line with Neil Crompton

Yes, a V8 Supercar video site would be awesome.

By the way, the Dick Johnson Racing site has a few good videos, including some footage from 1989 with Dick in the Sierra. The URL is www.djr.com.au

You have to remember that the more cameras you have the more videos you need to catch replays. In the Touring Car round at Bathurst in 1995 Channel 7 had cameras everyware but only had 6 videos. When I had my crash at the Dipper and rode the concrete wall for a hundred metres the channel 7 cameraman after the race said to me "That was great, I caught the whole thing....I just hope they taped it" They didn't!

Another fine moment was when I was levitating above the car coming down Conrod at Bathurst in 1986 and Mike Raymond was talking to me. That was actually on Racecam but it wasn't me talking it was actually Beverley.

How I miss the good old days. Like the time we fitted the anti brake fade device to Slugs VK Race car. Putting the Polorizer between the brake pedal and the fire wall was a fantastic idea if only he hadn't spun the car into the sand at the end of the front straight at Sandown.

I can't remember where I even got that clip. I downloaded it off some privateer website I think.

It's not a real hot lap...it's one full lap and it goes for for 2:19.

Glad I could help you guys out with it.
