garybirch should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BTCC @ Brands

Thanks to everyone who made this weekend great fun!
Camping was fun and being on post two was more fun!
Nothing to do on Saturday but we had the first TOCA events with Plato & George shooting off in opposite directions, leaving a mess that took us 10 minutes to clear! And I almost got hit by Reid coming out the pits while sweeping up!
We were even graced by Mr SillyToes pressence as observer on Saturday! Sorry you missed the fun on Sunday Peter.
Anyone know how the formula BMW driver is? Took them half an hour to get him out and off to the medical centre.

Yes it was a good weekend although I never camp at Brands. (bit light on facilities). I was on 3 and we got some of your leftovers. Was it your stationary yellow flag that frightened that clio driver into throwing his car at our post? Only a week now and I can go there again for another dose of fun.

Peter, I know what you mean about the camping facilities, although they did have a loo block and another block which I think was showers - but I went down to the paddock and used the showers at the back of the scrutineers bay - much better!
Sorry to send you that clio too! I think we'd just put the yellow out for the one further down in paddock, so I guess it must have scared him!

Glad you had a good weekend, Gary. Pleasure to work with you and the other boys and girls on Saturday. It seems that Sunday proved my Saturday briefing to be spot on rather than scaremongering.

Sunday at the BRSCC AGM was really exciting.

Trying to get your post count up Peter I believe the young lad at Post 5 is ok, he was concious as he left the post at least.

While I thoroughly enjoyed watching the carnage of the first BTCC race at the start, and the consequent 10 minutes clearing up while nearly being run over by Anthony Reid, I also felt so sorry for John George.
He's the privateer running a Honda Accord on Gas (www.racingongas.com) and after pulling him out the car I went to see him during the walkabout and the poor guy had his car on show for people to see what a mess it was in and unfortunately wasn't out at all for the rest of the day. When on the other hand you have Plato and his Seat fixed up and out for race three!
It's such a shame that these privateers can't seem to get the support and finances of the larger teams and therefore loose out big time when something like this happens! I almost felt like lending him my car to use!
And he was a lovely bloke and signed me a thankyou postcard!
