You can clearly see in the new LMP1 rules that the ACO was influenced by Porsche. Mechanical energy storage and front wheel drive are allowed. That suggests that Porsche could in theory use the experience of the 997 hybrid in a hybrid LMP1.

Or perhaps knowlegde will be transferred from Porsche into the Audi R18. Audi need all the help they can get to compete with the Peugeot 90X.

i think there's more than one GT3-R hybrid car,at least more than one bodywork, the car was shown in Beijing Autoshow months before and my friend from Porsche China suggested me the car was still in China for some time after the show.

Sorry, but I was wondering how it would effect Porsche, or rather what they will do with the 997's replacement. I highly doubt it, but perhaps we would see a carbon monocoque 911 chassis for homologation purposes. If we start seeing these chassis's on the track Porsche may have to follow suit.
I like to dream! |

With suppossedly 700.000$ for the Corvette prices are already soaring. Add to that the weak Euro and there's almost no chance that we'll see one of those cars in a European Series next year.

Likewis keeping a tap on top speeds with a 290Kpm speed limiter rather than power cuts and allowing paddle shifts is moving with the times. GT Endurance Pro will take over the GT1 role while GT Endurance AM will get back to what GT2 was like a few years back. Hopefully it's the best of both worlds with a potentially large market for customer cars, unlike GT1. Last edited by JAG; 17 Jun 2010 at 21:44. |

700.000 bucks for a car racing with 47 waivers around its neck ..... hate to see the final price tag when they manage to sort that amount of waivers out !!!

I am not familiar with any waivers concernig the corvetes, I thought they are fully gt2 spec legit, the fact that they have larger restrictor then class standart is because they use 2 valves be cylinder with grands them more restrictor size by the ACO/FIA engine balance formula
