DTM was just because of the lack of visitors. Don't know why Silverstone is chosen over Donington.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Aparantly DTM will be back at Donington in 2006, as will the WTCC. Most of 2005 will be spent building a new pits facility.

Personally I prefer Silverstone. Its a much faster circuit and more overtaking opportunites, Donnington is a great track but its not full of places to overtake.

I have to agree that Donington is a better track for touring cars. Silverstone can be good but I suspect that it has been chosen because of the infrastructure in place.

has it been chosen because the F1 is not gonna be there and the racing association want silverstone to have a world championship on it.

donnington is a much better circuit than silverstone, if you know where to stand you can see nearly half the track, and it swoops and dips. plus i get the feeling that just because the event will be at silverstone next year they may put up the ticket prices. that is just a guess though.

Not true.

This decision was made before the Grand Prix situation arose.

And it's still very likely the Grand Prix will be at Silverstone 2005.

Yes, and besides Silverstone already hosts a World championship event. The WSBK championship visits there.
