I knew they were working on an AWD Magna, but this V8 is news to me. I really hope they are building a V8, that way there should be no problem about them entering, apart from TC, Holden and Ford.

BJAY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I was watching the Power Tour on channel 10 last night. They showed the Future Tourers race which consisted of Falcons and Commodores and 1 Magna. At first it seemed out of place, but then I got used to the idea of a Magna racing against the other two brands, so it may be a good thing for V8 Supercars. If your wondering, the Magna had a commodore V8.

cheers!!
I was there that year working on the pit crew for Bob Holden and from where I stode Mike Raymond had a lot to answer for in regards to the crowds antics. You would have thought that after loosing a legend like Denny Hulme that day that the crowd would have acted a whole lot better. I like you was really dissapointed that day and every time that fottage is shown even now I still cringe

V8 Magna's the word from Mitsubishi is.........

The guys that run www.boozebar.com.au are motoring writers/reviewers and the wrote "A head spokes person at Mitsubishi has Refused to Confirm or Deny the Rumour that they are seeking admission into the Avesco event." I think they either enjoy keeping the rumour out there- free advertising! or they are negotiating. What do you think?

"Formula One gets far more exposure than V8 Supercars! "

Yes. in bulk numbers it does. But in comparative expenditure i.e. bang-for-buck, they aren't too far from each other.

I think Mitsu will have a real crack at entering V8's as they really can't afford not too.

What ever happened to Toyota entering with the Avalon, though?

TC would be rubbing his paws together waiting to get hold of some more taxpayer dollars.

I can't understand why people are suggesting that the behaviour of the crowd at Bathurst '92 was due entirely to rednecked xenophobia. Surely, you remember the same team won the race the year before, in the same car and there was no such reaction. I think it comes down to the fact that the fans believe the trophy was given to a team who did not deserve to be called the victors. Dick Johnson was the moral victor on that day and i think that's why people were so upset with the podium presentation.
