Winston05 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sprint Gas full of wind?

Grech having a whinge as per usual.

Do you get the impression SGR have missed the point of the change to E85? It's not meant to save money, it's meant to save the environment!

The thing that gets to me is that the bigger funded teams have more funding because they either have a history of success or they are being deliberately built up to be a contender ASAP (e.g. FPR). The only people really excited about the Murphs buying into a team was (suprise suprise), the Murphs themselves, and their feats to this date have done little to stimulate any genuine excitement, therefore they have less sponsorship. Will they be at a disadvantage? Probably. But is that disadvantage unfair? I don't think so.

Ultimately, they have finished 2nd at Bathurst two times and been quick in qualifying. If their engines, chassis, drivers and engineers are rubbish then I can't see how they could get such a result and show genuine speed.

Maybe all they are lacking are the $$$ to be able to throw at development for all the other tracks, it makes sense for a cash strapped team to concentrate on the biggest race of the year where the 888s can pour just as much into developments for Symmons Plains.

Perhaps. But my gut feeling is that this is the beggining of the Murphs blaming every single mistake on E85.

is Grech Murph = NO.
is Bargs Murph = NO.
is everytime something comes out of the team Murph = NO.

just because the Murphy's have a stake in the team dosn't mean everything is them.
