Rodney should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jamie's certainly got the talent then, I reckon he will give these DTM boys a bit of a beating. Looking fwd to watching, I hear it is going to be televised live on Motors TV, can anyone confirm that?

Obviously no real harm done. Translation for the non German-speaking:
Tom Kristensen had a scary moment at the beginning of the afternoon. The man from Denmark got of track with his Audi A4 DTM (2004 model) at the fast Blanchimont corner and hit the tire barriers. The car was heavily damaged. Thanks to the safetycell in the car Kristensen was unharmed. The demolished car will be repaired at the scene by the Audi-crew and will be run tommorow by Rinaldo Capello.

But what about the air inlet. Isn't that smaller now than it was?

Thinner but taller. The all new 'goatee' as I believe it's, um, unaffectionately known.

Since the old A4 had another one down under the bumper too, perhaps the old car is 'cooler' than the new one. Doesn't help that Abt & Stippler are faster than McNish, Tomczyk & Kristensen in the new car (I think).

Yes, but most of the grill isn't air inlet, as you can see on this pic:

No according to this the air flow of the new A4 was redesigned and the cockpit should be a lot cooler.

Only Tomczyk is testing the new car and is not concentrating on setting fast laps. McNish and Kristensen are driving an old (test) A4.

Anyway it is raining at Spa now and Stippler crashed his car in Blanchimont.

Some injuries for Stippler, some bruises and a cut in his hand. I saw him when he was transported to the hospital. The complete left-rear and mid-rear side was gone of his car. He crashed backwards in Blanchimont.

Jamie Green in his F1-sound Merc had a little off at Rivages

Audi did not do many laps (and rather slow laps compared to the competition) I hope they will do beter the next 2 days.

Hakinnen and Ekstrom will test from tomorrow. I guess Ekstrom will drive his laps in the new Audi.

Thats due to an exhaust modification. Read about it in Autosport with the Hakkinen interview a few weeks ago.

Officially they aren't, but you can get in. If you're going by car you'll have to park on p2. You can enter the circuit at the tunnel under Eau Rouge.

Today the track is dry again. Let's see if someone can go faster than Frentzen did on the first day.
