Rob Urquhart TVR Tuscan driver hurt at Donnington

Speaking as someone who helps as part of the TopCats pit crew I can say that everyone at TopCats wishes Rob all the best in getting back on his feet again. It was thought Rob had suffered a fractured Coccyx and a broken toe, though he has now been released from hospita. Had he not been in such a strong car as the Tuscan his injuries may have been much, much worse.

As someone in his debut season in a Tuscan, Rob has had a blinder of a season. Given the tight budget restrictions he had to work with he has done a fantastic job even with the abysmal luck he has suffered.

All the best Rob and look forward to seeing you at the end of season bash (maybe )!!

92mph according to the telemetry - straight into a concrete wall. The wall looked a bit second hand too!

Hope you get better soon, Rob..

I'm really sorry to hear that more bad luck has fallen Rob's way, though very good news that he will be ok. Get well soon Rob and look forward to seeing you back next season.

I think he was seen on crutches round the paddock today.

I also add my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yeah, I wish him all the best, and a speedy recovery. I read the thread where he was rallying for support for the McLaren young driver of the year award. Good luck to you, Rob!

The wall was cracked from the impact!

Car was a bit mashed too. Definitely needs more sticky tape. The team said they wanted a "winter project". ;-)

Good to hear Rob's OK. He said he wanted to visit the nurses at Nottingham QMC again after his nasty FFord crash last year...

Maybe, maybe not, but at least you didn't have to go far to turn them to Red! Which funnily enough, was the colour I saw when the breakdown crew up-ended Mr Perssons car, thereby allowing petrol from the split fuel line to gush over the exhaust
