Does anybody out there have an R/C touring car?
I have a Yokomo with a Masterfit Vauxhall Vectra Body by Parma. It does around 30 mph and is 1/10 scale. |

Chris and I have a Schumacher SST and an Associated TC3 between us. One has a Vauxhall Vectra bodyshell, and one a Ford Mondeo. We have a Rapid Fit liveried Mondeo shell, signed by last year's drivers

My Yokomo is pretty old- it's a YR4 M2 type J.
Do you guys race nationally with your cars? I race in the Schumacher Winter series at Worksop. If anybody is going, it's at the Bassetlaw Sports Centre, Worksop. The next meeting is 11th February. |

I've noticed that this thread hasn't had that many replies.
If anybody has any questions about R/C cars, just post a query and I'll try to asnwer it. |

Hobson, do you know of any RC Forums around?
I don't race nationally withe my car but I spent loads of time doing a bit of research last year. I think I'll be going along to my first to view this year(see if it's my cup of tea!!), and see what happens afterwards. I live in Ayrshire (Scotland for those who don't know where Ayrshire is!) so my local club is Ayrshie Radio Control Car Association. |

I did the BRCA national tour last year, along with the TORC. Like Maisie said earlier, I race a TC3, with either an Vectra bodyshell, or a Mondeo.
This year I've got a bigger touring car to race (1:1 scale), so I probably won't be doing R/C much - just local club meets (Macclesfield). Frankly, the national r/c touring car scene has become a little tedious - the driving standards were dreadful last year, and it's all to easy to throw loads of money at it. I've been doing r/c for 15 years. I get sick of it every now and again, but I always end up coming back |

There is an R/C forum at http://www.hpiracing.com but its in
the USA. I've only been to 2 nationals, so I'm bit of a novice but I have been racing locally (Newark, Nottinghamshire)for around 4 years now. In both the nationals, I got into the J final! |

Has anybody got any questions about R/C cars?
Usually when I run my Yokomo in a supermarket carpark, I have a crowd of around 10-20 people, mostly children wanting to know how fast it goes, how much it costs and how it works. C'mon guys, you must be more inqusitive than children! |

I actually raced a man in a real size car that was looking at my car in my local retail park. He was coasting along at about 5mph, so I went up next to him stopped then opened the throttle.
Ever had a close encounter with a real car Hobson, I have. |

Motor - No Idea.
Here's a pic of my Tamiya TL01 chassis with a Protoform Focus WRC body. PS - Tell me if these work as I am unsure how to get pics from my computer to this forum. |

Touring Legend - So - there's not just me in this area then!
We're in East Kilbride - not too far from you! My husband is into Model Helicopters and Model Cars. Let me know where they meet - who knows we may take a trip down sometime - it would be good to get to know other people in our area who enjoy full size touring cars as well and meet up at Knockhill etc....leave details! |

Those pics didn't work.
I've just bought a new shell last week- a HPI Subaru Impreza. It's blue with a gold sparkle underneath and fluorescent yellow wheels. |

I have an old HPI RS4 Pro 2 that I have retired in favor of a new Team Associated TC3. I have run a protoform vauxhall body this winter and am probably going to run either a Protoform Mercedes SLK DTM or maybe a Ford Focus body.
I also race a Tamiya F1 Lotus 104B Lotus body. |
