Got my new camera today - can't wait to try it.
Hi there,
I have received my new camera today. I bought an Olympus E500 with both a 14-45mm and 40-150mm lenses. It came as a package along with a 1GB memory card, spare battery, decent camera bag, USB card reader, memory card wallet, image recovery software and full warranty. I bought it from a very reputable seller on E-bay (feedback over over 135,000) in the USA. The price inc insured Airmail shipping to me here in the UK was $781.95 (this worked out at approx £412.84). I also had to pay VAT of £81.96 when it arrived via Parcelforce so a total of £494.80. I thought this was a great price as most of the shops in the UK are selling the camera and both lenses for £650.00 not inc the memory card and spare battery. My film camera (Canon EOS300V) is now redundant, I have made the switch to digital. I also considered the Canon EOS350D and Nikon D50, but the Olympus impressed me the most. Can't wait to try it out, hopefully make it to the Donington GT event next weekend. Anyone have any experience of the E500 ?? Regards Tim |

Hi there,
My local tyre depot was holding a British GT open day today. Team Tiger were there with the Marcos Mantis British GT car. Here are some pictures:- http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../P5130021a.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../P5130019a.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../P5130018a.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../P5130016a.jpg It was nice to get a chance to see the car close up and get a chance to try out my camera. Regards Tim |

Great photos, I too have the E500, and I took the option from Amazon.co.uk with 14-45 and 55-200 Sigma lens.
I have enjoyed taken photos at Brands for the BTCC in April and at Rockingham May 6th and 7th for Pickups and SCSA. I am looking forward to more events this year to use the 50-200 lens. BTCC, DTM, SCSA, PUTS, GT's. My photos from BTTC and SCSA are on the following link http://community.webshots.com/user/francisah I personally think this is a superb DSLR camera for the money. I am still learning all it's features. Your photos do look good. Rockfan |

I have an E-1, with 11-22, 14-54, and 50-200 lenses, plus the 1.4 converter.
I love the fact I can keep shooting in the rain, when everyone else hides away... Nice to know I'm not alone in the Olympus camp. Oh, and Digital depot are going to have the E-1 with a battery pack, and 14-45, for £499 in June, I'm told... Tim |
