Based on the photoshopped picture with pasted on swiss flags that was released, I'm not surprised.

Why so? Strakka has Danny Watts in the car, who is the recognised Ginetta-Zytek works driver. Strakka raced at Le Mans last year, so has a proven track record with the ACO (and I suspect the fact that Strakka also "owns" the original AM DBR1 that won in 1959, exactly half a century ago, may have had some bearing!) And why is there already "a better Ginetta-Zytek in the field" ? The LNT entry has no named drivers, so we don't know how good it's going to be. Both cars will have full works involvement, and no doubt they'll even share a garage. I think it would be unwise to write off Strakka before they've even run. Let's see how things pan out at Paul Ricard first.

Said to see the absence of the stunning Dome S102 on the entrylist..

Would there still be a possibillity to see them enter the LMS?

Can anyone shed any light on why the Goh entry has been numbered as if it was a P1 (1-24 P1's, 25-49 P2's and so on)?

4, the 'winning' number the team carried in 2004 I could (sort of) understand, but 5?

Incidentally, I'm not trying to initiate any conspiracy theories here, I'm just intrigued.

My bad!!!!! Could have sworn they carried the number 4 in 2004! Oops!

This entry list will be a grand cru classé ! Especially in LMP1 with 5 Audi, 4 Peugeot and 4 Aston Martin. Each constructor has at least one private entry.

May the 2009 rules allow a fair fight between diesel and petrol engines.

I'm just a bit disappointed about the japanese cars (Dome...). The ACO's strategy to make them return at Le Mans seems to had failed ; for this year only I hope.

According to Sports-carracing.net,
Dome had been told Eco Speed did not do the entry application from ACO before the entry list was announced.
Eco speed showed Dome the document of the bank in Italy that proved the remittance at the end of last week.
However, there was no payment from them.

It seems to interrupt the 2009 race plan of S102.

Surprisingly few moans and groans on here this year. I'm surprised to see Barazi-Epsilon fourth on the reserve list, disappointed (but unsurprised now the full story is emerging) there'll be no Dome, and, on a personal level, I would have liked to have seen an entry for the JWA Aston in there. But, it would appear the ACO have generally done a good job this year.

Intrigued now to find out who'll be driving what..........

I am disapointed that there is no Dome , but thats understandable , and no Saleen . But I reckon we will have 5 cracking battles across the board .

Rémy Brouard of ACO confirms that ECOSpeed's entry was too late...

"The reason is simple. The request for the commitment of this team we came too late in relation to the closing date. But when you say too late, it's really very, very late! It was therefore impossible to select against the teams, who had met the deadline."

Only confirmed driver in the Jetalliance DBR9 so far is Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer.

I wonder which chassis they will be using? #103 or #105?

I would imagine they would use the chassis that in the best shape. Wasn't one of them found to be deficient last year?

The reason they retired was, they found cracks in a suspension component that appeared on both cars, and they couldn't obtain replacement parts at such short notice.

That being said, #103 was very heavily pranged by Jiri Janak in practice at Zolder(?). Has it ever been properly repaired?
