Yeah, he had his 1 weekend in Honda for this season already...

Meanwhile, I'm really looking forward to hear WTF is going on. Tommo looked to be on good way to clinch 2010 ETCC, possibly DTC and also a fair shot at STCCup, and then we get this surprise.

Possibly, but why would he then put it as

"Marco Calovolo (his engineer), the boys and myself were really looking forward to racing for them, I had good results there and enjoyed the racing, but it's not continuing anymore and it's such a shame. That's the end of one chapter, I have to find some work now!"

If Tommo jumped off because he had a better offer, then why does he need to find some other work?

JT doesn't come across as the kind of guy to leave one deal to do another, just look at him trying to squeeze as much as possible in last year.

What is going on with all these top line drivers out of work, I tend to agree Thompson will be looking to the BTCC as an avenue back. For sponsers this is a prime time to get someone like Tommo,Gio or Turkington to drive for very little with the rewards being massive.

Yes the BTCC where already a lot of top drivers are out of work. I think we might not see much of JT this year in Europe.

If Honda do have a say in the driver line up then both drivers should make way for Tommo and Giovanardi in an ideal world.

Thompsons exist from Hartman appears to have been instigated by a fall out with other personel Thommo worked closely with.

Understandable though that he supports his long time engineer and goes. That is one of the most important relationships in motor racing, between a driver and his engineer.

I've heard rumours of Thommo racing later on in the WTCC with a Dynamics Honda. Has anyone else heard of these rumorus?

Thompson did a test at Rockingham with the 2010 Dynamics Honda where questions were asked as to what this meant... Thommo has close ties with Honda and Dynamics therefore a further tie up in either WTCC or BTCC looks possible. I think he is ear marked as a possible third driver for Dyamics in BTCC as the title goes down to the last few races.
