Whats your favorite exotic car?

OK, none of us (or most of us) will never have the money to purchase any car we wanted. Some would'nt purchase a car of these prices even if they could.

I'm not one of them. Given the bank balance to justify it, I would have no problem with an exotic car collection. And they won't just be sittignin a garage either, I'd be driving them

'Gone in 60 seconds' featured many of my favorites. If it were only one car, I'd have to buy a Ferrari.

What you put in your garage?

*Note to MtPanorama - A XR6 is not an exotic car *

Very nice, Lee!

Throughout my childhood my dream car was always a black Lamborghini Countach, with the full body kit.

Now though, I have to admit that I really just can not see the point in a very high performance road car. Australian roads are among the worst in the Western world and our low speed limits are very, strictly enforced, so what's the point of having a really hot street car. I'd rather have a race car and a track to drive it on.

This will upset the purists i'm sure, but i honestly can't think of any car i would want more than Mark Skaife's HRT Commodore.

Lee, that Porker's just a tarted up Boxster - look at the headlights!

As Porsches go, the Carrera GT due out next year is a bit nice.

However, nothing comes close to this:

Ah! What'd they do to that Pagini?! It was _much_ nicer in it's original show-car form and silver paint! Now it looks like some sort of ungodly Fiero body kit!

Now seriously, i have always liked the look and sound of these. They always looked good with a blonde in a bikini draped over them.

I had the joy of driving a white '82 Lambo Countach from NYC to Minneapolis. Except for the bad Blaupunkt radio and terrible seats, that car is, to this day, the standard to which all other exotics are measured.

It's as practical as a 5kg yo-yo, but man, the feel you get when you downshift and stab the throttle at 100kph is even better than all the looks you get from the babes.

Top Gear this week did the most ingenius (and probably accurate) supercar test I've seen.

They went to a primary school (6-9 year olds) with a Ferrari 360, TVR Tuscan S, Nissan Skyline GT-R and a Pagani Zonda C12. The kids came out all goggled eyed and amazed and swarmed around the cars in deep awe.

But guess what got the best reaction (and the most votes)?

The Lamborghini Countach they rolled in last of all.

Despite the new cars and the Playstation generation, by the undeniable "7 year old's bedroom wall poster" test, the Countach is still top of the pile...

The Countach almost looks like a super toy doesn't it?

I'd prefer a Diablo though.

Is six-cylinder Jaguar E-type an exotic car? If not, then i'll choose the Rocket.

What you put in your garage?

Could you be a bit more specific than "Ferrari" or arent you bothered as long as it has a ferrari badge?

And why not have something faster, better looking and more luxurious than a Ferrari?

Should I sort by year or by manufacturer?

The Stradele was a great race car... But the Brera? It's kind of mundane... Not low and wide enough really to be an exotic... I mean... It's a hatch!
