Antrodemus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2004 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship.

2004 TEN-TENTHS V8 SUPERCAR FANTASY CHAMPIONSHIP

It seems that Nigerian scam backfired – they really did leave an obscene amount of money in your bank account! After the five-star holiday, mansion, private jet, Ferrari, Porsche, HSV/FPV you decide that what you really need is a V8 Supercar Team.

1. Drivers

Once everything is up and running, you have $3,000,000 left to spend on drivers.
You may pick up to 4 drivers to pilot your cars at the following prices:

$2,000,000
Marcos Ambrose
Greg Murphy

$1,750,000
Jason Bright
Craig Lowndes
Steve Richards
Mark Skaife

$1,500,000
John Bowe
Russell Ingall
Rick Kelly
Todd Kelly
Paul Radisich
Garth Tander
Paul Weel

$1,250,000
Jason Bargwanna
Steve Ellery
Steve Johnson
Cameron McConville
Glenn Seton
Max Wilson

$1,000,000
Brad Jones
Tony Longhurst
Warren Luff
Paul Morris
Simon Wills
Mark Winterbottom

$750,000
Craig Baird
David Besnard
Paul Dumbrell
Mark Noske
Jason Richards

$500,000
Anthony Tratt
David Thexton
Dale Brede

* Since Team Dynamik haven’t got their act together yet in announcing their second driver, you can hire the famous TBA in their place. Once the announcement comes, TBA will be replaced by the appointed Dynamik driver. If the announcement never comes and there is no second driver, TBA will be removed from the list and you’ll get Simon Wills’ points at a discount price.

Endurance Drivers
Since you now have the ability to hire & fire your drivers (see below), you can also employ ‘once-a-year’ drivers for the enduros (up to the 4 driver/$3M limit).
Endurance co-drivers are valued at $250,000 less than the regular driver (but not less than $750,000).
eg. Jim Richards = Steve Richards - $250k =$1,500,000
If you’re not sure at the time, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll put up a list of endurance driver prices later in the year anyway.

Other Drivers
If both enduro drivers are non-regulars, or if someone not mentioned above drives in one of the other rounds, they will be valued at $750,000.

2. Hiring & Firing

As Team Owner/Manager, you get to be more ruthless than John Briggs! You are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap.
To sack/hire someone, post here expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s).
You can do this twice during the season.

3. Other Things You Should Know As Team Owner:

- You don’t have to use all $3 million, but DO NOT GO OVER BUDGET OR I WILL GET ANGRY!!! The penalty for making me angry is public ridicule and disqualification from the round.
- A driver can be chosen by more than one team - these guys are consummate professionals and are able to drive 16 cars at once.
- Points are the same as the real series. Whatever a driver scores at each round in real life is what that driver will receive here, including penalties. Your worst round will not be dropped.
- Round results and championship standings will be posted in this very thread following the conclusion of each round.
- After the results have been posted, you can write press releases on your team’s performance (or lack of). Show us how good you are at distributing propaganda.

4. Team Announcements:

Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice.
If this looks insanely complicated, don’t worry – it’s exactly the same as last year with a few tweaks to get around some problems.

To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form somewhere in your press release:

<example>
Name: ANGER MANAGEMENT RACING
Sponsor(s): BLACK FLAG FLY SPRAY
Drivers:
#2 RUSSELL INGALL
#9 MARK SKAIFE
Manufacturer: FORD

Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases!
Your team can be altered without penalty until March 17.
Comments are more than welcome, either here or via PM.

May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be),
