V8 Supercar Championship

V8 Supercar Series

The popularity of the V8 fantasy series made me wonder if a Gaming version would be as popular. This Series uses Toca Race Driver 2's V8 Supercars.

Rules

The rules are very simple* each competetor chooses one driver, once a driver has been picked nobody else can use this driver, i.e you all have to pick a different driver. You have to go and do The given race on the calander and then post your race time On the given date.

*Well, simple to me anyway.

You have to complete around 40/44% to unlock them, mabye there could be a support series for the v8's, hmm...

We could have the supercopa as a feeder series, some thing like the winner automaticaly gets a top drive in the V8s.

And there is a rule change for the V8s:
you play as yourself, so instead of me racing as todd kelly I would race as Nickyf1. A maaximum of 3 people can race for the one team

I've completed about 50% but haven't unlocked the V8 Supercars. It's the next on the list of things to be unlocked, and I'm currently winning a championship which may lead to the V8 Supercar. If I can unlock it, I'll take part. If not, I can't obviously!

Just did a bit of house keeping on the calendar out of respect - Entrust you won't mind.

I might not be able to make this weekend's event due to a commitment out of town, but I am keen as.

I assume that this is the Playstation 2 model that we will be using as there is considerable variance between the PS2, XBox, and PC versions I am told.

I am keen to earmark the driver Jason Bargwanna and his Orrcon Ford if we can have some clarity on the rules of entry with respect to running the races delayed due to absenteeism.

Whilst the rules may seem simple to you, this could quickly become a nightmare.

Perhaps difficulty should be set to 100% too.

Luckily the races are short as 110 laps of Bathurst yesterday in a Hyper Stimulator on Papyrus NASCAR 2003 has left me shattered - well, Bathurst plus other tracks

Conrod Straight going through the Chase catches out many a real race driver, so don't feel bad. 320 km/h and the 8000 rpm rev limit are a tad unrealistic when compared to the Supercar rule book, but it lets you do lap times of 1 minute 48 seconds

It doesnt matter what difficulty setting it is, the lap times will be the same and if you set it to hard you will have to do alot of maths to get your overall time.

Maybe - we should just have a set difficulty to make it fair anyway. Just for clairty.

Will it be a points system?

I'd suggest that we add together the full weekend race times. Add Barbagallo's three race times together, and then Bathurst obviously, on it's own.
