eamonn ledwidge should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If you would like a London location, I can offer a super place in Clerkenwell, just 5 mins from Barbican tube station.

Cafe/bistro, fully licenced, excellent wines & bottled beers, but no draught. Seats max 45 for private functions, menu constructed to suit your budget. Its owned & run by my 2 daughters. Great reviews in Timeout London.

I would suggest a Thurs evening mid Dec or mid Jan.

Over to you boys for discussion.

You need car park and ease of access .Suppose people want to have option of taking a car.Not into the formal dinner or even formal lunch stuff as about a third will be no shows.Pub grub and no one need to put their hand up when funds are short for the gang.I have suggested that we do not ask anyone to be responsible for this gathering and money just off the cuff.

Alternatively if you would like to organise it Eamonn I would turn up as havn't been into London for years.Put me down for four to get started if you do organise lunch time thing between Christmas and New Year.Any other time and have a good time boys as its much to cold for me to spend any time in the north.

Lunch time is not possible as they have a thriving all day business, Mon/Sat incl.

Free on street parking in the area after 18.30.

I would prefer not to be an official organiser, but would suggest as follows:

Ideally an evening do, Wed/Thurs - say arrive by 7pm, eat at 7.45. Set a budget per head for food with agreed amount of house wine and get menu suggestions, not formal function in any way.

Q: What numbers? ideally 20 minimum.

Lets chat this over on here and I will see what can be done.

John - I fancy a trip up to one of your Suffolk functions!

ps A Saturday evening private function is possible.

We have a 67 Bonnie . . . . not sure I'd get recommisioned in time, been in storage for a few years now, so weather permitting a 1960 LAmbretta TV175 should do the trick.

although a 2005 Subaru legacy screams comfort mid Dec!
