Terry S should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1969 Australian Touring Car Championship

This is a fantastic article on the 1969 ATCC, including some great period photos.

The amazing thing is the VARIETY of cars compared with what we have now. Look at the very first photo for variety......

The 1969 ATCC was the first run as a series, previously they had been one off events.

Highly recommended.

I noted that Norm Beechey features prominently here but was not a Bathurst starter. Was that unusual for this time?

At Bathurst Beechey crashed in practice. The car wasn't able to be repaired for the start.
