Alan Jones should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Craig your a Lucky Bugger

Today on RPM they had a story on Craig driving Moffat's Phase 3 GTHO and also having a run in the only GT40 in Australia. This is my idea of a day in heaven

That car looked like something out of Dukes of Hazard!

And when the Phase 3 came out of turn 3 in a wonderful powerslide, the bloody cameraman decided to zoom in on the front of the car.

Yeah, they didn't give much of a **** about the GT40. It was all "GTHO this, GTHO that." I'd take the GT40 any day.

Notice how they gave the lap time of the GTHO, saying, "oh, it's nowhere near a V8Supercar," and didn't give a GT40 lap time. Any chance it might have knocked off a V8?

I doubt that it would have- when I've timed it around Lakeside and QR, it's always been a few secs of the pace. Then again, with a priceless car like that, would you really want to find out where the limit is?

But I tell ya what- it is just about the nicest sounding car I've ever heard...

Come on you people don't you know that Commodores and Falcons have both won the Le Mans 24 Hours, the World Rally Championships, CART Championships and F1 Championships at one point or another ?

Commodores and Falcons are the pinacle when it comes to motor racing...well according to Channel 10 they are anyway.

THAT IS NOT THE ONLY GENUINE GT40 IN AUS. THERE'S A GUY HERE IN MELBOURNE WHO OWN'S A ORIGINAL PROTOTYPE LEMANS ONE THAT IS FULLY ORIGINAL UN-RESTORED AND FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN, IT WOULD MAKE THAT ONE LOOK LIKE A TOY CAR. IT IS 100% EYE CANDY TO LOOK AT AND HAS A NO BULL**** HISTORY THAT THE OWNER HAS DOCUMENTED.

BUT TRUST 10 TO BRING U UP TO SPEED WITH THE LATEST NEWS, EVEN IF IT WAS LAST MONTH'S.

David Bowden himself told me that his is the only one in Australia. Ten are simply repeating what he has told them. I agree about them choosing to edit out the best footage, WTF? When are the general media going to realise that there is not one car enthusiast on Earth who wants to hear engine/tyre noise overdubbed with jangly rock music?

I was very impressed by the lap time for the GTHO. It is in fact 1 second under the lap record for Group N Historic Touring Cars ion that circuit.
