The prettiest racing car ever!

What do you think is the prettiest car ever that has been raced?

I would say the prettiest GP car was the Mercedes Benz W165. It was truly beautiful!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...ripolis_11.jpg

but one of the prettiest sports/GT car has to be the Ferrari 250LM in Ecurie Belge colours!

Your thoughts and opinions please...

There was a lovely elegance to the Lotus 25/33.

How about the Eagle GP car? That nose was wonderful.

The Maserati 250F as a front engined F1 car, the first Jordan as a modern F1 car, Bugatti T35B as the pre war car and the GT40 in Gulf colours as the sports car, very dificult to choose !

They all had tartan seats. Its just they have recovered them in the past 15 years or so to crappy looking grey velour!

Chevron B16. The original Ensign F3 car before they stuck the Trident tail on it. The Eagle mk1.

The hopeless Scarab F1 car from 1960. Gorgeous lines and in royal blue with white trim. That thing was an orgasm on wheels.

My god we do have most excellent taste: Scarab, P3, 2 P4s, 908/02, Dino, T70, GT40, Chevron & the rest. We could have our own ultimate sports libre race, but only in our dreams! Wonder how close the average age here is to 53?

Have to say Brabham BT52, closely followed by the Ferrari 312 t3 and Hesketh 308 b for its sheer simplicity and lack of sponsorship.

Sorry to delete the picture - like it a lot just saving bandwidth.

However, it would be boring if we agree too much. Much though I love late '60s Porsches, I have to say the spyder version Steve referenced is more to my taste. If I was being picky with that brand I'd vote 909 Bergspyder:

I have been following for a while. this is a rude way of having to make choices......................250GTO, Birdcage, ERA, prewar alfa, 250F, just a Healey 3000, Ac Cobra, Chevron B8, etc etc. Okay.......... I would like to get the Gurney Eagle to this list
