Best Car you've ever Driven?

What car have you driven that holds the most bragging potential?

For me definately a new Elise and a Caterham (around cones, autotest style). Was well happy with that.

I wish I could say I drove a new Elise or a Caterham or even anything else remotely cool. Does a 1993 Ford Escort station wagon count?

Lotus Exige was the nicest handling car
Porsche 911 GT3 was the scariest car (for me)
Holden VZ SS nicest family car - Mine :-)

I've driven my Dad's Audi A8.

I wouldn't say it was cool but it certainly compares favourably to my little Astra.

I've driven a DB5 that was like a tank... and I've driven a race prepped E-Type that was amazing.

I've also driven a D-Type, which was horrid at low speed, but nice at high speed.

I've driven most things Triumph... TR6, TR4, TR2, Spits and GT6's

car I'd LIKE to drive...

A Lotus Europa.

I just love the way it looks !

Saab 9-3 2.2 Dti. Thats the best i have driven in terms of power, but for actual road handling my old Mondeo was about the best i have owned myself. Although quite a boring car the Mondeo certainly brought gifted handling to the masses, as have the Ford Focus.

Best car I've ever driven was an ex-boss's wife's MGB GT V8. Superb little motor. when she sold it she gave me first option. I was really stupid back then in 1980 and said I couldn't afford it. Why on earth I didn't go to the Bank Manager (who was a friend of my boss and his wife) and just ask him for the money I don't know!

Mind you the Octavia is nice too!

The best car ive driven to date in terms of power is my 1989 3.0ltr turbo Toyota Supra, got bucket loads of torque and is very stable at speed, a bit of a shame its so thristy on the old petrol but if you get a car like a Supra and are worrying about the fuel consumption you have bought the wrong car.

Volvo S60R, goes nice, I prefer the older 850R though, less refined and doesn't feel much slower.

I test drove a VP Calais 5.0 when they were new and loved it. I don't think I've actually surpassed that since.

eerrr which order shall I place them......

Race prepared Westfield (actually competed @ a sprint)
TVR Chimaera
TVR Tuscan
TVR Cerbera
Ferrari 308

each one was "the best I'd ever driven" at the time I drove them. But then, i may never get to drive those cars again (or the like), so obviously they will remain "The Best".

unless someone has something else for me!!!

E28 BMW 528i - muchos suspension work even tho the rest of the car was in a sad state. Black with M535i bodkyit... wasn't the quickest in a straightline but I've never had that much confidence entering corners off the brakes, but the 5 just seemed to stick.

Are you referring to '91 when they dominated the event or '92 when they crashed out and blocked the track while limping hopelessly back to the pits.

The best car I have driven would have to be a BA Ford Falcon XR6T. They go really well, heaps more performance than the the Monaro CV8's

Most suprising car i've even driven was the Mk2 Golf with 500bhp, 4wd and six gears.

Surprised other people even more than it surprised me.

I haven't driven many exciting cars. I had a brief ride in a Mosler MT900 road car, that was awesome.

Stuff I've driven, well it has to be my Ford Focus Zetec. Reasonably fast, looks good, and such fun round the country roads when it's quiet.
