Don't worry they'll mute the commentary then so we don't miss out on the awesomeness....of.....German...pop. Sorry but I can't say that with a straight face.

For the most part it isn't even German pop (Which is rather awful in it's own right. Looking at you, Helene Fischer) Just the worst of the worst of international pop music.

Yesterday evening at WDR German pop music from the 80s. Nothing wrong with German music from that era. Even with Helene Fisher (well now and than, not to much ).

You know, FIRE, I always respected you as a smart and well-informed poster. Might have to reconsider that...

I'm pleased to see TCR coming to the VLN next year. As his manager, I can say the RAce of Champions sensation Bradley Philpot will likely be on the grid in one. We sampled GT4 at VLN7 but a deal with a manufacturer is being put on the table as we speak!

Very Abt lineup from Bentley, little disappointed not to see any of the BES crew involved.

And Falken back without a Porsche. What are we expecting? BMW, as trialled last year, Nissan, as a throwback to the early 2000s, or something else?

It does have a gt3 version with much lower performance so I don't see why not.

Always seems a shame to see it running in GT3 spec, I'd rather see it run in open series in its Trophy spec, like crevantic

It is not an FIA homologated GT3, like the Ginetta, so they need permission from the series they want to run in.

Except that in Creventic races it is allowed to run only in the GT3 spec...

In fact, that GT3 spec was developed by Renault so that the car could run in Creventic races and later extended to some others, like GT Open.

In its Trophy spec, the car is close to the performance of the GT1s so it obviously will not be allowed anywhere near GT3 cars in that spec.

I love the R.S.01 but any brand can build a race car quicker than a GT3 if they follow no rules whatsoever, so I don't really see the point of glorifying this one or comparing it to anything else as it was meant for a single-mark series.

GT3 rules are pretty relaxed as well. But the RS.01 is not based on a road car like most GT3's.

It can run in full Trophy spec in the Creventic Prototype races this season

So Falken with their Porsche AND a BMW this year, two really strong lineups. Will be interesting to see.

Oh how I wish Renault would've built a couple of hundreds/thousands of these together with Nissan, just to have a flagship sports car and make it GT3-homologated. Would also be cool as a road since it would be a smaller, lighter two seater coupe version of the huge and massive GT-R. And maybe even rear wheel driven?! One can dream.

The next weekend in VdeV, (4hours of Barcelona) there are 2 RS01 in the entry list, 1 in GT3 spec and other in Trophy spec.
