Well I don't see that episode as a "fight" to be honest davyboy.. Sebastian Vettel was ordered not to overtake Mark Webber and decided not to pay attention to a team order...

Sir that is correct, I always want them to race of course without restraint in a perfect world..

Someone has to be in charge, otherwise it becomes a joke, and at the kind of money these teams are spending that can not be..

I guess this is the result of the business stakes being too high to allow a motor race to happen.

Vettel drove around the outside of Webber. It was a tough pass where everyone else in the field just does it down the straight. I don't think Webber was going easy and just letting him past, he looked to be trying his hardest to hold him out.

Fair fight? Where? One car with its engine turned down and not expecting to be overtaking after been told he would not be overtaken, and another car...

I think if you understood racing, and have another look, you'll notice that the position of Mark's car at that right-hander top of the hill showed he'd bailed out of the fight as he knew he didn't have the engine setting to continue the fight. He would have awful exit speed the way he positioned the car. The previous lap, he had the car placed better and such that would prevent being overtaken on the exit. "Body language" of a car tells one a lot.
So, to be clear, Vettel drove around the outside because it was made easy to do so. It wasn't a "ballsy" heroic move, sorry Vettel fans, but it wasn't.

Why would Vettel's engine be turned up and Webber's turned down ? Wouldn't both be turned down if they were to hold station. Also, Webber put up a brilliant defence. He was no sitting duck. Whatever the case, it was a stupendous dice by two drivers who took things to the limit and didn't step over.

Reading elsewhere, it seems that Webber's engine was turned down. Vettel's wasn't turned up, but it was at a higher power output than Webber's, that's fairly definite I believe.

I'm sure you know that they are under the control of the drivers, the rules forbid control from the pit lane all they can do is instruct the drivers to turn the engines down, Webber complied Seb didn't.
